    It looks like I have a fun weekend under the car coming up. I have some tweaking of my new lights to do too.

    • Not sure if this helps Spilsy but here's what the join between the Front and the Sump plates will end up looking like :-



      I'll try and throw a sequence together and put it in my build thread, have to find the rest of my photos. I should add mine is a Kakadu & a petrol, the non-kdss/diesel plates may be a tad different.

        • As I recall we did ours in the wrong order, front to back. I believe it's easier if you work from back to front.

          • My ARB Inflator arrived from the US yesterday.

            Handy bit of kit. I will admit that it doesnt seem as well built as I had expected... The glass (or plastic) over the dial is loose, sharp corners on the metal components etc.

            • As probably 30 other people have or will, I put the Bushskinz on today.

              Took the old ones off and found this:



              No oil missing, so I'm hoping it's a spill from draining the sump.

              And this too just sitting up on the rear plate:





              I think it's an oil filter tool...

              So here are the installed plates:

                • I've got that same 'leak' in the same spot. However it ended up being grease flicked off the U joint there on the driveshaft. No oil leak at all.
                  Looks exactly the same as mine so I'd say yours is the same.

                    • Changed out the supply wiring for my new driving lights to 6mm twin core. Had to use a new relay with the heavier cables as the wouldn't fit into the old housing.

                      Not entirely happy with the finishing up, but it was getting late, and I needed food!

                      • Mounted an Anderson plug at the towbar. Not for battery charging, just for power. The plastic bit is mounted, I couldn't get the cable to feed from my fuse block, under my drawers to the grommet on the jack side of the car.



                        Might have to wait until the weekend and lift out the drawers.

                        • Coat hanger wire did the trick - I used it to fish out the cable as I fed it from the fuse block. All wired up and ready to go. Just need to get a cover to stop any rubbish getting in.

                          I'll also now redo the wiring to my awning lights so that they can be connected to the Anderson Plug rather than to their own battery.

                          • Started to put together a negative bus bar for all the accessories currently attached to the negative terminal of my battery. Will get a photo when it's installed.
