I fitted up this temporary modification Saturday afternoon:

Had the 80,000 km service today. Injectors were removed and checked. All good at the moment. Diff breathers are working, no report of water in the oil when it was replaced.

Over the weekend, I installed an anderson plug.
It is wired to my fuse block with 6mm cable. The cable has been soldered into the anderson pins and checked with the "vice test".
I also have a 2m "extension" with andersons at each end.

I hard wired my compressor into my Fuse Box over the weekend. I am thinking that I will make my Right Hand Drawer narrower and install the compressor next to it, hidden away, with an outlet and switch the only visible items.

I moved the compressor over to the other side. I've taken the jack out of the hidey hole and placed it in my drawers.

And now it's gone...



I've knocked up a cover for the compressor. A little tidy up work required, then some carpet, then some fixing I to place.

Looks good Spilsy, I tried to fit mine under the bonnet this morning, but its just too darn big! So it ended up in the drawers again.

Cheers. I managed to squeeze it in where a second battery would go under the bonnet... But there was no real way to mount it.

It becomes smaller once the base plate comes off. Also, if your hard wiring, you can remove the section where the switch and relay are. Just need a spacer to re attach the outlet to the body. (if that makes any sense)

Not wanting to rain on your parade Spilsy but have you allowed for any ventilation of that compressor compartment? Last time I used my Thumper it got pretty hot, would hate to see you end up with melted plastic trim.

Yep. Front and back. Yet to see how hot it gets and whether more ventilation is required.
