ITEM: Aerial and sand flag knockdown awning-mounted bracket
CONDITION: New
REASON FOR SELLING:
PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $85 + $14 postage to anywhere in Oz
EXTRA INFO: Enables the UHF antenna to be mounted up as high as possible while allowing it to fold flat when entering low clearance carparks/garages/overhanging branches.

Here are some photos of the bracket before the antenna was mounted. The bracket has been designed to be installed on the awnings sold by ARB, OzTrail, RhinoRack Foxwing, etc.



Also mounted to the bracket are 2 quick release fittings for the Mine Spec flags. This allows the flag to be clipped alongside the awning when stowed.

I am in the process of modifying the bracket to allow fitment to the various awnings out there. You can download the following file and provide the 4 dimensions in the drawing.

I've designed a UHF antenna and sand flag knockdown awning-mounted bracket to enable the UHF antenna to be mounted up as high as possible while allowing it to fold flat when entering low clearance carparks. This has been really handy on our recent trip to Melbourne where we were in a convoy with another 2 families but went into town and parked in an undercover carpark. With the antenna folded, I just scraped in under the height clearance bar.

That bracket is a great idea for the sand flag, shame I don't have an awning to bolt one to.

Edit: Forgot to add that something like this that bolts on to the Toyota/Rhino sports bars would be good but I can see why it would be harder to do.

Can the bracket be folded part way down , ie 45 degress, or is it fully flat or fully up?
Any idea when you may make some of these up and the price?]
There has bena HD foldown bracket for a while for big aerials but it rather expensive and very large, Yours is a lot neater

Hi Robert,
It is infinitely adjustable from upright to flat. Cost is estimated to be about $70 and made from stainless steel.
