It's a lot more complicated in shape than first thought. I haven't added the drainage holes yet.

If you guys are damaging you're middle tank guard that badly , you really ought to re assess your driving skills , especially if you have a 4 inch lift . My god no amount of protection is going to help you .

Yes, I have gone through several iterations and spoken to the people involved in the manufacturing of such items. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. The above picture is just plain version.

Found out Pedders sell the ASFIR plates. Just got a price of around $600 for the 120 fuel tank skid plate. Made from 1/4 inch thick aluminium apparently.

also something else to note, if it is still being looked at, is people that run a longer travel rear, have an issue with the tailshaft catching on the factory tank guard.

My guard took a beating on the weekend. Pushed the tank in a small amount. Guard will hammer out easy enough but it's bound to happen again.
I'm thinking of just welding a couple wide strips of 4 or 6mm steel on top of the bottom portion (so it sits between the guard and the tank). Cheap and easy reinforcement. Will still leave most drainage holes. Can't hurt right?? At least it would disperse forces to reduce chance of a big dent or puncture in the tank.
Anybody tried something similar?

Its not 4 inches, it's four inches off the ground!!!!!

I am interested, mines a little modified and not in a particularly good way. Might I suggest it has a few holes like the original for weight management and ease of dispersing water and sand and mud and ......

Tin175 is a Prado member here, I believe he may be working on something soon as he finds some time.
I have at least 10 of the crew who would take one of a good plate & I'm sure there's dozens more here who would be interested.
