Locking sleeve over nut on spare tyre

I managed to misplace the locking sleeve which goes over one of the nuts keeping my spare tyre on. You know the one that is keyed to match the ignition key?

Anyone replaced this before? Just the sleeve is what I am after.

Not sure if it comes as a generic part and then Toyota code it to work with my ignition key or what the deal is

I imagine it will be expensive but thought I'd ask the question anyway.

I think they are all keyed the same.

Probably a standard spare part. There is something similar on ebay if the Toyota Tax is too high, you would have to check the thread size first, this is intended for a 100 series.

I can open mine with the key for our Rav, so I doubt they are keyed alike.

I bought one for my 90 series in 2006 - $70.63 (inc GST). Part number was 6905960110 - don't imagine there would be much difference on a 120 series.

I was a bit pi$$ed off when I was told it would cost me an arm and leg to get the new cylinder keyed alike to fit the ignition key so I told them to shove it, but then found out the last centimetre or so of the keys are all cut the same and that's the bit that unlocks the lock cylinder so no need to carry an extra key.

So it appears from everyone's feedback that these key locks are useless? That anyone with a Prado (or Rav4) key could open it?

Seems that way doesn't it? Considering how many Prados and Ravs are on the road...
I was about to look for a nut that works the other way around - one that will fit the smaller hole of an aftermarket alloy wheel and accepts the lock sleeve.
