Have you worked out a rough cost for fitment? your only a days drive from home so could be a option... plus the wife has family in wentworth so might be a bargaining chip.
2005 Black gxl 1kz, Steinbauer chip, ome lift, arb delux bar, Lightforce genisis 210's, 30inch led light, tigerz roof rack, GME 3540 uhf, genuine towbar, custom spare wheel spacer, ors draws, drop slide, waeco, dual batteries, twin locked, st maxx tyres, winch.

Soon to come-35's and longer shocks.

        Hey Andrew,
Love the rear bar. I'm assuming these would fit a grande also? And if so do you know if I could either get or put in myself the reverse beeper sensors? Not sure if. Or how the stub axles are braced ect from pics so unsure about wiring more than anything and if you could run it through the length of box section? Or have to cut a hole somewhere?
        Cheers Mullins

I am pretty confident these would fit the Grande, but until one is actually fitted up I cant be 100% sure. The Compressor mounted in the left rear is about the only real difference I am aware of and the bar should clear that no worries.

I am not really familiar with the rear park sensors and their size and location. There are a number of quite large holes on the inner edge of the bar, partly to reduce weight but also to allow access for running wiring and getting your hands in to mount lights etc. So running the wiring should be no problems. Presumably you would need to drill holes to mount these, which shouldn't be an issue.

The stub axle just goes through the RHS, 125x75 and is welded around the top and then some more weld on the inside at the bottom on the RHS, hope that makes sense.

          Cheers Andrew

            Thanks for your quick reply,
My only other question would be is, would drilling into the bar to fit sensors affect any engineering? Without having the car in front of me I think there's 4 sensors at about 20mm dia. I'm thinking after testing and getting approved if adding or changing anything/drilling into may have to be reengineered/tested?

I guess in the strictest sense of the rules then yes it probably should be re engineered, however in a practical sense its not affecting any of the structural part of the bar or its mounting in regards the towbar, which is the part that was tested. Much like any modification on a car it only becomes an issue if it causes a problem, that is if you modify it in a way that will cause it to fail, which in this case a few small holes isn't going to make a difference.

              Cheers Andrew

                  Hey Andrew,

Guessing this bar isn't really going to work with my flare less GX ?

Have the ARB/FRP Flares going on next week but that doesn't solve the width difference with the bumper I suppose

                  Cheers Sam

I imagine it will fit no worries with the flareless models, but its not going to look as neat given the different profile of the GX bumper compared to the Flared models.

I am sure I could modify one to fit, but I would need a donor GX to do the bumper cut to work out the details, feel like a drive tot he North Island

                    Cheers Andrew

Very nicely done Andrew. They look really nice.

Question..... Does the tow hitch end up being any lower than standard?
2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

No, the tow hitch is actually slightly higher, but only around 5mm so huge gain in rear clearance.

                            Cheers Andrew
