16x8 with 0 offset???

Hi Guys,

I am lucky enough to be getting 5 x new tyres and wheels for Fathers Day. Reading thru several threads here leads me to believe that 16 x 8 with 0 offset and 265 75 16's will be fine with a 2" lift on my 90 series. There should be no other mods needed and will not rub at full flex....

Is there a general concensus that this will be fine??

They should fit fine mate. They'll fill out the guards a bit better too. Good score!

Yes, they'll fit fine. I knew someone who installed 0 and had no dramas at all. 0 will look better than stock but does not come all the way out to the edge of the flares. If you want it to be equal with the flares you'd need to go to around -5, -10 or -13, but I cannot confirm whether you'll get any rubbing with those.

If you've narrowed the tyre choice down to 2.... i'll go +1 for the 4 rib

Hmmmm....went and talked to my tyre guy today and he tells me a 0 offset will put the tyres about an inch outside the guards and said I should stick with the original +30 offset.....?????

Anybody actually running 0 off set wheel with 265 75 16???

I have yet to meet a tyre guy who really knows there stuff... that's why I do as much of my own research as possible.

Most 95 Prados came with +15 offset, only the skinny steelies came with +30 offset. You're looking at changing to 0 offset, that's a difference of 15-30mm - go and measure for yourself how much further the tyres will stick out. *I'm assuming you currently have the standard 265/70R16 tyres.

Or trust what you see online... the rig below (now sold) has 265/75R16 and 0 offset:

Hi Glenn, I got what I thought was a model number off of the wheels and did an internet search....and I found nothing. So I'm none the wiser as to what the offset is. :-(

Hi Guys, im looking to add a 2" lift and some 265/75-16 Cooper ST's or BF Goodrich A/T. Looking at some 16 x 8 OT-13 steel wheels. Got any tips on good places to buy wheels and tires? Actual tire fitment centres? Online?
