Well, I finally got it washed and have added some photo links to the list of mods.

It's in City mode at the moment but it gets dressed-up to go off road.

I couldn't work out how to add photos directly to the page so I've added links I hope are working.
The links are placed under the relevant mod in the above list.

Let me know if this is not working and I'll try again.

Yes, this is my first time setting up a thread in this forum so still learning.

I found a prob with a couple of links which I have now fixed.

No probs, we're all just Prado porn addicts here. The 1st link isn't working, the others are OK.

Thanks for that. I think I've fixed the first link now.

I think I fit right in as I've been looking at all the other builds and dreaming of the next mod I can do
Hopefully I'll get a chance to add some more pics soon.

                  Nice rig,

Where did you get your headlights?
I will be particularly interested to see how you get on replacing your gearbox/transfer case breathers.

I found the headlights on eBay a while back. If you do a search for "prado 90 lights" you will find quite a few.
Including the dark tail lights that were not around when I replaced mine. Now I'm waiting for them to break so I can justify getting the dark lens ones

I plan to have another go at my Gearbox and Transfer Case breathers this weekend. But as you point out it is different to an Auto.
I have a few different workshop manuals and found the attached picture in one. Does this help? http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9502554978/

Gearbox and Transfer Case Breathers Extended

Well, I managed to workout how to extend my breathers so hopefully this will help someone.

Access to the breathers is easy from the top. Removed the top of the centre console and the rubber seals on the gear sticks and everything is there.

I found 2 breathers on the gearbox. In the photo they are marked with a pink paint spot
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9530468082/

The breather for the transfer case is a tube connected between the transfer case and the gearbox
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9530488434/

I used and old screw driver which I bent the tip so I can pry the caps off the breathers.
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9527712797/
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9530489324/

I then used some tubing (8mm internal diameter) which I soaked in hot water to soften it up and clamped it onto the remaining base of the breather.
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9527706445/
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9527731275/

I then used some 6mm 90deg elbows, a tee piece and fuel line hose to make the rest of it up.
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9530513606/
                      http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9530511330/

Here is where it terminates, next to the front and rear diff breathers. I made the bracket and added a couple of spare holes for future use.
I also plan to get some air cleaner foam and cut it into shape and clamp it in the assembly to further protect against dust.

                          Rear Drawers Project

I've decided to make a set of drawers for the back of my rig. So following in the tradition of this forum, I'll post some updates and my progress with the build.

After lots of sketches and ideas (not to mention hours of internet searching) I think I know what I want and how it will come together but I could not work out the exact sizing.
The main goal is to build a system that when removed does not need anything other than the third row seats to be placed back in.
As this is my first try at something like this I will be measuring 5 times and cutting once so don't expect any speed assemblies.

Worked overtime on eBay last night and orders a heap of things I expect I will need and I hope they will arrive over the next week which should be just in time for installing them.

                          Shopping list from eBay
                          - Compression Locks for the drawers
                          http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9653924094/
                          - Stainless Steel Lashing Loops
                          http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9650727855/
                          - T-Nuts, various sizes
Hopefully to bolt things on with our showing the nuts
                          - Assortment of Bolts
For things like the sliders Lashing Loops and just in case I need them for other things
                          - Stainless Steel Piano Hinges
for the flaps on the sides of the drawers.

Found a place that sold 1220 x 2440 x 12mm sheets of plywood a lot cheeper than Bunnings and it was waterproofed on one side.
Picked up 2 sheets this morning.
                          Sheets waiting in my garage
                          http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9650838601/

I removed the carper in the back of the Prado only to discover my first surprise!!!
                          MUD???
I discovered that the bolt hole for what I thing is for a child seat restraint which had no bolt and was not sealed so muddy water was getting into the back of the car. (Thankfully not too much).
Cleaned it up, found an appropriate bolt and plugged the hole.
                          http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9654082418/
A close up of the bolt hole in case you have the same problem
                          http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9650845399/

Started the task of cutting out the bottom panel.
After a lot of guessing how it will fit I decided on a base panel that was 1050 x 970. This will come up to just behind the middle row of seats and gives about a 5mm clearance on each side.
I then cut out some slots to allow the panel to sit flat over the third row brackets and tie down loops.
                          http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9654076466/

This gave me some parameters to work with so my drawers will be 800mm long.

I intend to use all 4 tie down loops to hold the assembled drawers down as well as a bracket I plan on making that will use the anchor points intended for the third row.
                          Thats it for tonight.

Day 2 and most of the panels for the main cabinet are cut out
                            http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9664427522/

I've glued 2 sheets of 12mm ply together to form a thicker, stronger panel to be used between the drawers
Using lots of liquid nails and clamps to make sure the panels are held together while the glue sets.
                            http://www.flickr.com/photos/100141355@N07/9664429968/

I expect to have the main cabinet finished tomorrow and then start on the drawers.
