Used one as you described but position was not the best and still moved a little, I have followed a lot of others and use the 3m double sided tape and stick my cheap leather case to above the air vents and fold it up when not in use. http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ighlight=Hutch

Thanks mate. Looks good and at least I know that it works with Prado
NP. Thinking of something similar for my 120.

I use a Ram mount for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and have had no issues. I does move a little bit but I normally rest one corner of the tablet on the dash. I mount it in the position as shown so I can plug the power lead in the bottom of the unit. The passenger can also view it in that position or angle it towards them. It doesn't cover the passenger airbag which one must remember.

Winston.
Is it possible to place the RAM mount lower and rest the tablet on the dash? From where you have that situated it looks like it would get in the way of your vision?
Only interested as I am trying to figure on the best place for me (most likely a 7 inch tablet)

I can go to the left about 50mm. I cannot go lower as the arm is not long enough. Having a 7in screen should be fine. You loose some vision but I didn't find it an issue driving to Bris from Dwn and when driving off road.

Ram mounts have different mounts since I last purchased mine:

Cheers. The longer arm might work. I was thinking of resting it on the ledge in front of the CD unit, to give it a bit more support. The vision issue is more for my wife. She's only 5'1" and has trouble seeing over the Tom Tom. She usually sticks it up under the rear view mirrow...
I might look at the old Velcro solution as well. One of the three (seat mount/window/Velcro might work!)

You can't go past the Velcro it keeps it in the perfect position and does not move, when I had the seat bolt ram mount I could never get it where I wanted it and after manipulating the bar a few times it would wobble and the lower clamp on the bar would flog out, I guess the the only down side with the velcro solution is it does cover the air vents but when we run the iPad with the hema maps we don't have it on all the time and just fold it up so it sits on the dash out of the way.
