      LED Interior Light Install

Most difficult ones to install were the front map lights...

Swapped the "panel" LED that should go in the middle for the rear. Post pictures here tonight.

          Looks good.
I too have been rather slack in getting to do a rear door LED, but hopefully will get there one day.

              ProVent Catch Can installation

All right, been running with a temporary location for the catch can, but didn't like the location - as hoses were against the brake reservoir - though no chaffing had occurred. Not a good setup.

Since I am lacking in the metal works area (not counting my iPhone's playlist!), I got a local firm to make me up a "C" bracket out of 3mm stainless steel.

Other than re-mounting the FM 100 fuel filter, it was pretty painless.

Since I had extra hose, I cut it in half and back, and slipped over any hoses that might rub.

I also cut in half some left over 3/8" fuel hose to wrap around the bracket - again if hoses rub, it isn't on the steal directly. Though the top hose has come loose a bit, the bottom is secure - where the fuel hoses run.

The highlight I did in Photobucket - but to fit the bracket on (and before the fuel filter was jammed against it) I GENTLY relocated the stock water detection sensor wires to the other side of the OEM fuel filter and zip tied in place.

Great install mate looks good, can you still get to the oil filter ok? and what did you bolt the braket you made up too.
                  Cheers

Do you mean the catch can or the FM 100 filter? If it is the FM 100, probably not - but I'll worry about that in say, 18k KM's! Pictures don't show it, but can still see the bottom of the filter where the bowl is.

Or do you mean the engine oil filter? Yes, as I dropped a nut and it landed in the "well" of the oil filter.

The bracket itself just uses the standard M8 bolt holes on the fender, which are roughly 122-125MM apart. Because I used a cordless drill to make the holes (used a smaller pilot bit), I made the holes larger than the M8 diameter bolt. LockTite, used everywhere.

There was some cussing and wishing I had three hands to mount the bracket and fuel filter...

                      Great work.

I need to start thinking about some of this gear (instead of just putting it off in the "some time later" basket).

Well after a $13K touch to the bank account - it is a small cost for these "improvements"!

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking I need to do them as well - before I get the $13K hit

Just make sure that you have the latest injector series or do what I did and get Baileys.

Mine went bang after 177k KM's on the orginal injectors with copper seats....

I'm avoiding the whole "dirty fuel" BS by having the prefilter...the catch can is a must IMHO.

                                Nice.
After doing the Simpson with only handhelds, I've added an on board UHF to my list of needs.
