      • Well after a few days of fossicking I have added a 71.db Antenna to the driver's side on the bull bar (sorry no pics!).

Then came the challenge of mounting the interior cradle!

I ended up taking the back off of the cradle to mount my "custom" bracket - that was a joy to pull that apart and put back together! The other thing I had to do was drill a 10mm hole in the side of the air vent to pass the lead cable through.

        This is the result:

Then re-assembling the air vent and surround:

        Final mounting in place:

        • Well, after some advice from Fido666 - I can confirm that you CAN in fact mount 150 recovery points on a 120 with a TJM T13 bar.

This side was much easier - well aside from the captive nut.....

This side required a bit of "modification" to the upper bolt hole to fit....

Now just need to get a recovery kit together.....

            • Today, I replaced the cheap eBay special with a 6.5 db Gain RFI Mobile Antenna DC2195 - lesson learned, again....

As well, got two shackles and a bridle strap.

                • I got a cargo barrier today, so while it was hot (hey +30 is very hot down here!!) had a beer or two and installed after work.

I'll post another when I get my fire extinguisher mounted (trip to Bunnings to get the bits).

I tied mine to the cargo barrier with cable ties through the screw holes but they wore through after a while and it fell off (luckily did not go off), will look at remounting it on the rear passenger step with bolts and nuts.

                    • I've got quick fists, so that is reason for nuts an bolts. Might get a strip of steel or something to mount it on.

                      • Please only mount a fire extinguisher in a vehicle approved extinguisher specific mounting, bolted solidly to something up to the task. If you are in a crash that extinguisher becomes a very dangerous missile bouncing around your cabin.

Mounting to the cargo barrier is usually fine, use a backing plate on the opposite side of the barrier and nyloc nuts and bolts to sandwich the barrier.

The mounts for fire extinguishers are designed to be secure, but easily openable in an emergency. Quick fists are great, but I guarantee the specific bracket will do a better job.

Sorry for being a bit anal, but I have seen someone close injured in an otherwise minor accident due to an incorrectly secured fire extinguisher.

                        • Even if it does come loose, it is going to be behind the cargo barrier, even if it does come loose - it will only be in the cargo area....

Just me, but there is more "danger" mounting them in the cab area.

                          • If it's behind the barrier, do you think you will have time to get to it in an emergency?

I should point out that this is a 2.5KG extinguisher, not the typical 1KG that most people have.
