Thanks Josh, I think the fact that there will be plenty of kids around Owen's age got Sue over the line. We are hoping to punch it out in 2 days to get there however it just depends how the kids are travelling. Imogen is not the best car traveller at the moment.

    Cheers Matt

You'd be best to allow maybe two and a half to three days coming down, giving you a chance to arrive at Mansfield with time to set up camp in daylight before the meet and greet. Glad you got the cook over the line, now to wait a few weeks before the discussion about those couple of mods that the 150 needs to make the family comfortable! Good Luck!

Please put me down I will need to lock in my holidays but hopefully that won't be a problem, as far as bringing the family unsure yet.

Funny you mention it, I was just thinking today what a perfect opportunity to convince her that I need a winch, new tyres, fridge and new swags

Great point... can you amend the minimum standards to include front & rear lockers and HEMA maps for iPad?

Haven't you seen the 20 + pages after we tried to get aftermarket recovery points on the minimum requirements!

Seriously guys, we've given you the nine month warning to bring out the inner salesman and convince the better half that you need ........ And maybe..... Family comfort and safety are great selling points!

I heard a great story from the local ARB store were a bloke put a set of driving lights on lay by, after about two months he got one of the guys from the store to ring their home number during the day and leave a message on the answering machine stating he'd won their in store raffle for a set of driving lights! Swmbo none the wiser! Gold absolute gold, but another great tactic.. Whatever it takes boys.... Whatever it takes! Goodluck to all

I hope there'll still be some Easter eggs!

MLC couldn't come if we did the PP GTG over the Easter long weekend. He's already booked for a 'he's not the Messiah, he's just a naughty boy Easter re-enactment' at home.

Will the travel day from the caravan park to talbotville be suitable for caravans like outback Jayco expandas, this will increase the likelihood of the better half accompanying us on this adventure ?

                          Hi Disco,

Yes the transit from Mansfield to Talbotville is suitable for vans, and you would get an Expanda Outback into Talbotville if it was dry (I've seen a couple of huge vans in there in the past). The issue might be meeting someone coming in or out when you're going out of in! And of course if its wet it would make it interesting but not impossible.

                          Cheers

I was dead keen to come, just waiting for dates. Now you've picked them though, my sister in law has picked the weekend right in the middle to get married. Some people just have no consideration for others. I suppose there's always a chance they'll change the date but for now I'm going to have to be a no. Very disappointing.

I have wanted to do some in depth exploring of the high country for a long time as we have only seen a small piece of it on one of our trips home from the MotoGP a few years back, plus it would be good to try the cruiser out against the Prado’s to see how they compare. I have got big shoulders just like Stewy last year to take all the flak I would cop about the cruiser. BUT we have planned an overseas trip next year for my 60th which coincides with the GTG and will be spending a few weeks in Italy and Med cruise with some friends so unfortunately will miss this GTG. It would have been my 4th GTG and Ros and I will miss catching up with the many people we have meet and travelled with over the last few years. I meet a few of the committee members of this year’s GTG last year and from the posts I have been following things seem to be progressing well, they have a big job ahead of them, good luck with it, it’s a big job and from past years the GTG has grown bigger and better each year and I am sure this one will be no different. Safe travels to all and we may catch up in Tassie in 2015 if we aren’t up in the Kimberly’s
