Any updates from anyone on these. Im not happy with mine. May have to replace with OE ones. readings are good but am told that they fail mechanically and the electronic side will still show good reading. Not sure about that bit. I am sure my car is very noisy when cold.

Well it finally got cold enough in Brisvegas for a jumper this week. Started the Prado and no cold knock.
As i stated on earlier posts the first set of Baileys injectors tested in spec, but knocked when cold. Also the soot around the rear bumper was very noticeable. Matt checked this set and re coded them but on re install they where actually worse?? Matt (to his credit) replaced them with a fresh set. Installed and now running with no knock. And no soot around the tail pipe - bumper. On techstream the readings are not as low as the previous set but well within spec, but the previous set cold knocked??
The only thing for me, is during this process i changed from no blank to 7mm EGR blank to full blank with Ozbush mapper. But the EGR should have nil effect on exhaust soot and cold knock. Also i have not been driving the car very far at all this year as i have a company car and no annual leave (new job). Depending on this i may be forced to sell my beloved Prado as the shed also houses a 2006 Sahara TD.

I can recommend Baileys as they do back up their product.

Sometimes i wake up Grumpy, most times i leave her sleep.

I'm still deciding on Baileys or Denso and I was given clear neutral advice by #### after he asked me numerous details about who is doing the job and my vehicles klms and condition. I have pros and cons for both and in a constructive manner which when I do them I will be as confident as I need to be after talking to experts.

If he lived near me I'd try and do a deal to get him to help do mine as I rekon I'd learn an awful lot. Remember there are professionals on here to help.
Clear neutral advice, after asking numerous details & discussing pros & cons of both.
So from about a year ago, I was not pushing one or bagging the other, Sounds FAIR?
I point this out, because there is one or a few who think I was pushing baileys. Wrong again, Sorry.

Hopefully thats cleared some of it up.

If i've missed something - just ask. I'll keep an eye on this now i know its here.

So now that we have discovered the not fit for purpose "brass" bdg sheets, supplied with injector purchase & come fitted to the BDG injectors, what's the plan? How does labour get paid?

Compression variations between cylinders can cause knocking & rattles.
With brass washers which don't seal, there you have compression issues.
Makes me think, this is why so many of you had trouble with rattles etc.

Can someone please define what "R+R" means in this context?

                        My thoughts. Many.
                        Check you oil pickup.
                        Remove the bad washers.

2 with bad blow by 50% contact? No squash. Too hard.

                        Handy note:

I'm currently investigating possible injector problems with a few sets of BDG Injectors.

One set had bad readings, it was returned & found faulty by BDG, replacements were refunded just over a month later. Just waiting on warranty process to get paid labour???

Have 2 other sets, both doing similar to each other, blowing black smoke, bad rattles & pre detonation.
One set only done about 15,000k. I would like to talk to Matt about them..........

Stupid logic. Remove and replace what; the existing ones? Of course you can only put in new ones after removing the old ones! So why don't we say Replace with New and leave the term R+R to Rest and Recreation as being what most would be seeking when purchasing these vehicles!

I bought a set of Baileys injectors that failed in a few thousand KMs.
I had them removed and independently tested. According to the test report, two injectors were physically leaking, and the other two were way out of spec.
I contacted Baileys and Matt was not helpful. (there is a lot I could say about that but I am reluctant to post on an open forum)
Needless to say, I am out of pocket $1500.00.
IMO Baileys are good at marketing.
2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

                                Does that help?
Surely when a lot of the conversation around Baileys is extolling the virtues their so called "warranty", and my experience being that Baileys balked at any warranty of the defective product, that is the issue.
Anyway, If I get time later I could check those purchase details and post.
