Anybody using Baileys injectors in thier D4D???

My young blokes 08 Hilux is due for a set of injectors and we are considering buying Baileys injectors. Price is right compared to Denso ones but I am wondering if anybody is using them, could you give your opinion either way? If you are running these injectors, Are you having any issues?Do you recommend them or not?

I'm running them - when up to temp, you can't really tell you are driving a diesel!

Mine have less than 2K on them, and is my daily driver. Bailey's does recommend changing the pipes, and for the small extra cost, a 30 micron pre-filter is the go.

Hey guys, biased opinion coming up - Nah not really.

Have a look on our vendors threads on both here and New-Hilux. We really can't moderate these threads either (or if we can - i dont know about it :S) so what you're getting is honest feedback. TO this end, probably new hilux is the better site, as we've sold nearly 100 sets from that with a good percentage (like 10%) that have given feedback.

If you need help with links and things, shoot me a PM or email matt AT baileysdiesel.com.au and we can go from there.

            Thanks again gents.

Unfortunately NewHilux is not an open forum, only registered members can view threads over there, which also being a Hilux owner I am.

I have no direct experience with Baileys injectors but have not heard a bad thing about them. Truth is they haven't really been on the market long enough to get any real long term views on longevity, but the fact is the genuine ones are known to not go the distance anyway!

For what its worth I am pretty sure I will throw a set of Baileys injectors at mine when the time comes.

              Cheers Andrew

I am fully aware that from 100 customers you would be lucky to have even 5 percent who leave feedback anywhere and most of the time, it is only the people who were not happy that start ranting about it. So far I have only heard around 3 or 4 feedback comments about your injectors and they are all happy customers so my guess is you'll be hearing from me soon. The Nippo's are just too dear in my opinion and if you can offer a comparable product at one quarter of the price, I'll give em a go..

Steve if you do a detailed search (google pradopoint+bailey) you will see a few memebers and also the Roo's feedback. As AJ said nothing bad here at all, only good things and positive comments however you have to consider that none have many ks up. That is not to say or suggest there will be an issue just looking at the issue pragmatically.

Yeah will do. I am usually a big believer in genuine parts and tend to steer away from aftermarket, due to a few incidents with aftermarket parts in the past, but Mr Tojo has just priced himself too far away with these injectors I feel. It is a risk to try something new, That's why I'm here throwing questions around, just to get a feel of how Baileys are going and then I'll make the decision. Car is not urgently in need, just a bit noisy when its cold. No smoke, good economy etc... 120k on the clock.

If I still had the 120 I would either grab a set of new injectors and pipes from RickNZ like Bushy has done and hold these against the need or wait and change out with Baileys when the time came. Local pricing is a bit obscene.

                        SteveH,
Roos last post on newhilux stated one of his customers has over 50,000ks already with figures still really good.
Anyway, choice is totally up to you. Either way, good luck with it.

                          Hi Guys,
Quick expansion on my email yesterday. I'm trying to offer answers that are as factual and as 'indifferent' as i can, but obviously the post last night above almost makes it sound like i really don't care, and thats not true at all...
Anyway, thought i would share some marketing data from our last 4 weeks of sales.
                          Sales lead:
                          46.25% Repeat Customers
33.33% Word Of Mouth - refered from a friend or similar
                          10.XX% Google adwords
the rest % all our other marketing combined - Radio, Magazine, Facebook blah blah blah - Bad ROI here by the Way!

So as you can see, basically 80% of our sales were Word of Mouth or Repeat customers. So one would figure that we are doing something right.

And as someone else already stated (and pretty evident from the chip-it threads - yeah i went there) that if something is no good, you're going to hear about it.

Useful data, but you have to look at it correctly to understand it. Assuming you are doing the right things, repeat customers will stay repeat customers. Most of your marketing activity will apply to gaining new customers. So, when looking at your new customer sources:
                            (rough percentages)

                            Word of Mouth 60%
                            Google Adwords 20%
                            Rest 20%

So 40% of your new customers come from your marketing efforts which include adwords, facebook, PP, radio etc.

That is not bad ROI IMO considering your strong word of mouth referrals, and depending of course on your expenditure in these areas.

                              Yeah mate, its all Fine.
Even when we loose on the sale, we hope that we've created an advocate who will hopefully tell there mates and provide a long term ROI. Its pretty much our thought process, and by placing so much emphasis on the referral side (not the we actually ask our customers) it really makes our staff excel when it comes to service. It makes me really proud as a member of our team that so many of our feedbacks read something like this:
'no more rattles, great price and a really good company to deal with' . its all we want.

anyway, back on topic, feel free SteveH to go which ever way you prefer, we're simply trying to offer an Aussie built alternative with what we feel is better quality.
