Only just clocked 5,000km with your DLC Injectors (fitted by my local Toyota Dealer under the CE Program) and couldn't be happier. Even the wife said, "Wow, it IS quieter."
I purchased the Bailey's injectors after hours of research, discussions with them directly and decided that if they can offer a 3YR/50,000km warranty and Mr Tojo only 1YR/20,000km, then my money is with Bailey's. In the end, it was a no-brainer.
I think that if I ever experienced an early failure, I would also want to know why, regardless of the ultimate cause. If it was something outside of Bailey's control, such as fuel quality/contamination, then that is a matter to take up with someone else, particularly if you stick to the one supplier, where possible.Stan Miko

Ask Corigator. 3 weeks, 1000km and the Baileys were shot: one at 5, one at -2.7. He basically drove Sydney to Melbourne, got on the ferry and when he hit Tassie he was on 3 cylinders. Thanks to Launceston Toyota he was able to get a set of genuine Denso injectors and continue with the GTG after missing one day with his Prado.Dave

The dreaded cold rattle came back. Baileys injectors. Took them out and sent to Matt for checking, all ok and Matt recoded them and sent back.
But the rattle is still present under 50 deg water temp. What could be the problem?
SCV valve replaced. Techstream reading ok. Filters replaced. Air filter new.
Recon engine 0.5 oversize, new cylinder head.
Pain to have to wait for 50 deg water before driving.

Corigator had a total miss on one cylinder, the other was a sympathy move (always next in firing sequence). anyone with knowledge in this game knows these are susceptible to contamination, and our guess is that was it. if it was a failure of assembly it would have seized on the test bench or within the first half million injection pulses surely...
AS for Rusty's, god only knows. When the ECU is telling you they're perfect (corrections NEVER worse than 1.5 Cold iirc) and they pass the test bench perfectly, it has to be accepted that they are ok...
Look at fourby4's last set of ours fitted. 0's across the board...

May be so, but it is hugely dis-heartening when this thing happens when you're a long way from home and believing that everything should be going great because you have new injectors (2nd set) etc, fitted.Dave

As we now know, brass washers are causing compression issues.Last edited by Anth120playdo; 12-10-2016, 11:15 PM.

Replacement injectors have arrived (thanks Matt). Will install Monday when the seals arrive. Hopefully the cold knock will be a thing of the past.

The injectors in the store are refurbished, on exchange basis.
