  • This question is from Kristy. Those who know her will understand.

Will we be going past any vineyards? If not what do you recommend to be the minimum number of bottles wine to bring?

Well, mmmm don't think so, however I can send you a route to Mansfield via the yarra valley you can pick up all you need.
Sounds like Kristy will have a pisser of a day! Depends if you have a day spare to get there? It's on the way, but wine tasting takes time......
What I'm thinking 2 bottles per evening for her? Sound about right? Lol.....?
What day are you on the boat?

We arrive in Victoria on the Sunday morning.

Apparently Brown Bothers vineyard is up that way somewhere. Kristy is researching so I am sure she will be fine. I might just drop her off in the morning and then go back at the end of the day and pick her up and put her to bed for the night.

Those transiting via the black stuff will be driving within a couple of hundred metres of Brown Brothers cellar door. We might need to approach them about being sponsors. Don't give Kristy too much time, get her to taste what they have to offer one bottle at a time over the next six months and then fill your trailer as you drive by.

Sounds like a lot of fun, ever time we did winery runs it was a really funny fun day.
Last time was 6-7 years ago in the barossa.

So what's the plan for Sunday/Monday? Can't do wineries every day

I am told that Brown Brothers is at Milawa so thought we might head up that once off the boat but nothing is set yet. Still working on where to go for the two days before the GTG starts.
Once the committee has pland the routes we can decide which way we will go to get to the start point.

                  Hey Vaughan,

The committee as planned the routes long ago!
                  The start is in Mansfield!
The itinerary is on the first 8 posts of the who's going, it's been there since the thread was started.
It will be fine tuned, but that's it!

                  Hope that helps.

I think Mrs VKPrado (name withheld to prevent cross checking against the Alcoholics Anonomous database) measures the success of any GTG by assessing how many visits she can "make along the way" to her suppliers

We understand Banrock has just managed to restock after her last order.....

                      • Brown brothers is not close to Mansfield.
                        It's located at Milawa,
But an exceptional winery. Well worth a detour.

                        • Brown brothers are big, I think they have many locations/winery's.
But I'm not an alco, so not sure.
Tuesday could turn into a winery tour...........

                            • 2014 GTG Vic high country - ask anything here

So the title of the thread says ask anything here! So here's my question.

In the opinion of the committee how long do you think It will take me to build a new camper trailer and is there any chance at all I could have it finished in time for the GTG? If I am unable to get it finished on time could the committee delay the event for 6 months in order that I could have it finished

Trish thinks I am dreaming, but what do you guys think.

                              Cheers Andrew
