Here are a few images from last weeks trip into the Flinders Ranges.

These are landscapes generally taken in the early morning light or late afternoon which is the best time do take this sort of shot.

      Thanks Trevc
We had a wonderful week. Got lucky with the weather, leaving the rain behind out of Adelaide and then 7 days of mid 20 days and mild nights. Didn't even close the fly wire on the swag, no early morning dew to worry about.

The country changes so much as you move about. Southern flinders is very dry but in the north they have had good rain in the last 3 years and the country looks ok.

We had a real blast at the Prairie hotel in Parachilna on our last night, it's a must visit if traveling thought that area.

If you want more photos have a look at www.moosepix.com.au

      Cheers Chris

Any camera buffs out there can tell me what the best lens configuration I need for the perfect wide angle landscape shots? Currently run a Canon 600D so I would like something compatible.

What lenses do you have already?
Lenses are just angle of view so if you're close you might need 10-12 mm or the 17-40mm is a nice Altoona landscape lens.
If you buy an EF lens you'll be able to use it on a full frame camera if you decide to buy one.

I use a Canon 60D and I find the Canon 15-85 EFS lens the best for all round use touring, it virtually stays on all the time. It goes down really wide and the quality is great.
Little more expensive than the kit lenses, but well worth it.
Consider getting a circular polarising filter for landscapes to.
                        Cheers, Wayne

Here's a few of mine from Central Australia. I lived at the Rock for about 8 years so had plenty of opportunity to photograph it at its best!

                              Hey Dave

When I was in the Canon world, I used a Sigma 10-20mm lens and found it worked pretty good. Now using Sony camera and have found that the Samyang f2.8 8mm Fisheye and
the f2 12mm are excellent lenses, I think they have mounts to suit canon.

                              Cheers Roger
