Wow looking at the photos its like we have all been showing the same picture.

That the cracks are almost identical is a huge indicator that there is a problem with either the design, the material used, or the production run.

Frankston quoted 7 hours but it took them longer, however they stood by their quote. They had it for 3 days. You would need to discuss costs with the dealer. I found that different Toyota dealers charge different labour rates

Both my guards were done in one day, great job and you wouldn't be able to tell that it ha been repaired. My mates repair was really rough and took two days.

Inquired at Toyotaways Rockingham. Service/parts guy had never heard of the repair kit and searched his database. Couldn't find a tech release or any parts listed. I gave him the part numbers and showed him the Amayama prices. He then found the parts and provided me with a quote which was double that of Amayama. The kit is for the 150 and probably wouldn't be able to be retro fitted to the 120. I will now search for a good panel beater.

Finally found the part numbers on Amayama for the 120 panels x 4 plus 52 nuts/bolts. Just shows that Toyota have known about the issue for a while and have provided a solution for both 120 and 150 models.

I recently went up the gibb river road, i previously had drivers side welded and the baught a paranah battery clamp with the front apron brace, when we were leaving the bungles (middle part of the trip) i found that the passengers side was cracked all of the way up same spot that the passengers side cracked, however the side with the apron brace showed no signs of further damage. Prior to the trip the passenger side showed no signs of taring at all. I have come to the conclusion that the tare is from the battery/batteries flexing the panel due to improper top bracing.

After having the crack in the left inner guard welded on his 2011 150 my mate now has a new 75mm crack about 15cm behind this repair.

Now my mate has discovered that both the outer hoops on his OL bull bar have cracked at the point where they join the main centre hoop.

Well you can now add mine to the list.
2010 GX with ARB bar and OME suspension, winch and dual batteries.
I've done 151,000km's but this must have only happened recently on our Darling River Run trip as I've been keeping a regular eye on things.
Has only cracked on the LHS at present.

Does anyone have the patch numbers for the left side, I think Hulbyw has only given us the ones for the RHS?

Got an email back from Amayama regarding pricing and availability of the patch kit, the parts Patch fr fender & fr fender apron are on backorder with no known eta.

So I rang my local Toyota stealer and gave them the part numbers. Everything was in stock in Sydney except for the Grommets which were ex Japan.
                        Total cost quoted...$755.00
Think I'll reply back to Amayama and ask them to track down the out of stock parts rather than get shafted by Toyota Australia's prices!

Given that this patch kit is for fixing a known vehicle fault I'd be going in hard on Toyota Australia. That's how I got mine fixed at no cost

Toyota supplied the fix kit and I paid labour. Welding by a panel beater is not enough. You need the kit installed IMO. Most dealers cannot weld so get a panel beater to weld. One dealer quoted me $600 to have a panel shop weld the crack! Fortunately Toyota recommended another dealer who could weld and did the whole job.
