Picked up some second hand 265/70/17 maxxis bighorns this week, so will be getting them put on my spare prado set of rims and put them on the trailer soon. It should dramatically help with ground clearance (not that it had a problem before) and also having a spare on the trailer and spare on the car will mean when touring I will have 2 spares. Good thing is too its a full set of 4 muddies so can throw them on the prado for play weekends which will be good! win win

TJM have a sale on at the moment, $550 for their steps and brush bars which was an offer I couldn't pass up. Quick phone call to TJM Brendale and they arrived. Fitted the steps up on the weekend but haven't done the brush bars as of yet. Was doing it outside yesterday and it started raining so will do the brush bars another day.
Sorry AJ I was saving up for yours but these were just too well priced to not take up the offer.
Happy with the quality and also happy with the fitment, was very easy. They are chassis mounted and all 50mm steel tubing with checker plate top so much better over the factory steps.

Will be making up a steel rear bar for the old girl in the next few weeks, I am sick of hitting the back plastic bumper and it has seen better days. I do not need another wheel mount or jerry cans because the spare on the camper is interchangeable with the prado and I have jerry can holders on the trailer, so it will simply be a replacement bar to look as much like factory mad of steel. I will try and make it slightly shorter and higher to help departure angles but we will see. I also bought a set of aftermarket flares for the old girl and am thinking of 2pak painting them black to give it a two tone look. My bar, side steps are black and rear bar will be so i think the flares will tie it all in.
Might even throw a scoop on it while I am spraying everything else, I have a wrx one in the shed from a previous vehicle and I reckon it just may look the goods....
Will keep everyone posted.2012 4dr JK wrangler, 3.5" AEV lift, AEV mags, 35" muddies, front/rear arb bars, tjm sliders, pioneer platform and some other goodies
