  • Yep, M10's and they come with the SS Nyloc nuts. You could trim them down and source an M10 channel nut but you will only be able to use the 2 pins as all 4 will not coincide with the mounting pin holes (270w x 890l ) to fit all four you could always drill through the platform panels ( if you really wanted too?) or get yourself a couple of pieces of flat bar and mount them 890 apart with the pins @ the 270 width or just buy a manufactured set!

        • I have just reread you entire thread Prado2004 and I must say what you have done to your 120 and trailer is amazing. I hope to do some similar things to mine in the near future.

            • Had a spare second on the weekend so rigged up the 43" brite led tech light bar. Had to make mounts out of 25x25 RHS but happy with how it turned out. Bright as hell!

                  Cheers Craig,

Am off to Cityview 4x4 park for the first time this weekend with some mates so will have a bit of a play at night and test out the light bar, should be good fun. If we dont freeze.... Plenty of alcohol and a big fire to keep the cold at bay.

                  • Tug is in getting a service today and a once over. Front left brake piston was jammed stuck so front brakes are getting an overhaul with dba rotors and pads. She is still barely run in at 115,000kms which isn't bad for a 10 year old truck.

                    • Got the rig back from a major service. All oils and fluids replaced, new filters including fuel filter and new dba rotors on front and also dba pads. I asked for bendix but the mechanic says he is running dba's on his 4x4 and thinks they're as good but cheaper price so I said lets give them a go. Front pistons were totally seized on the brakes so they needed replacing as well so it was an expensive day.

Oh well at least its basically a new car again, I will keep it for a long time so it is worth looking after it as best as possible.

                      • Thinking of doing the rear door table mod this weekend, a simple one hopefully thanks to others steps on here.

                        • So this isn't a new mod by any means, but I did the rear door table on the weekend. I had marine carpet leftover from when I built the camper trailer. I decided to use melamine instead of ply, this way I can wipe it clean and dont need to put vinyl or anything over ply. Also melamine is cheaper then ply so it was sort of win win. I know ply is better with water but I dont expect a mass amount of water on it anyway. Thanks to everyone on the DIY thread, thats where I got the idea from. I bought the strapping from BCF and also the shock cord pieces to keep it shut, they were actually evakool brand in a packet for about $10 I think for memory.

Cheers Matt, I know what it is like getting sucked into reading peoples threads, I have wasted hours on this place! Cheers for the trailer, its all going really well and the hot water is definitely one of the best features on it. Cheers

                              • Had a good run on the weekend out at city view 4x4 park with some mates. Prado did great as always. However I smashed my rear back bumper once again and had to pop it all back on... I am going to have a crack at making up some sort of steel bar. I would love one of AJ's or a Kaymar or something but I simply cant afford it. I will make something a lot more simple in the coming months. Also going to make some sliders as my side steps are a mangled mess!
