    • Does the Mk II bracket fit a petrol 150 with dual batteries?

Unfortunately, both brackets will not fit V6 Prados from around late 2004 onwards when Toyota changed to a much larger charcoal canister.

If anyone can assist, I would like to relocate the charcoal canister onto the Mk2 bracket and require a vehicle to take a look and measure up.

Thanks robbo. Looks like yours might have the larger canister.

OK, does that mean I'm out of luck for mounting an ARB compressor under the bonnet?

At the moment, that is correct. Hopefully the charcoal canister can be easily relocated to the Mk2 bracket.

I assume your dual battery is located behind the driver's side headlight?

                  OK, I get it now.

                      • Hi all,

Great thread and the brackets look great. I am keen to place an order for one for a 2008 D4D to install my portable ARB compressor but before I do, I couldn't quite see how to wire it up to the battery? I assume cut off the alligator clips and wire directly to mains/secondary battery but has anyone got some instructions or tips to do this?

Yes that's right. Cut off the alligator clips and wire it to the battery. One way is to use those yellow crimp lugs and attach it to the battery clamps.

                          • Andrew, I've just fitted a Racor 230 FF, and the drain plug at the bottom is sitting on the base of the MK2 bracket. Presumably this drain plug needs to be fully wound out to block off the drain? Any tips

                            • From memory, winding in opens the valve and winding out closes it. Is that right?
Are you saying that you are not able to mount the filter with the valve closed?

                              • Yes, winding out appears to close the valve. Right now its sitting on the bottom of your bracket. I've done the 2 screws up tight, but I dont think the mounting plate of the filter is flush up against the vertical wall of your bracket, due to the drain plug. I'll try to take a pic of the back of the filter.

Edit: seem ok, but only just.

The reason I ask, is that given I appear to be the only one to mention this, there's a high probability I've done something wrong!!!

Anyone else have the drain plug sitting on the bottom of the bracket?
