Well today was the day. After 3 weeks that seemed like a lot longer I have a new Prado in the driveway.

No massive plans for just the usual list of accessories:
Bull bar Done
Tow bar Done
Snorkel Done
UHF Done
Lights Done
More lights
Dual battery Done
Fridge mount
LED interior lights Done
Roof racks Done
Scan gauge Done
Wind booster
TG150 Done
Internal fishing rod storage. Done

Probably more to add to the list.

Congrats!! Great looking vehicle!
I've have placed my order for my 2013 built GXl on 21 Jan '13 and was told yesterday that it will be ready for collection on friday a week. And yes the colour had to be Blue Storm! Can't wait!

Gotta love that fresh new look and smell, they still look sweet and ready to be christened ! Mine has done over 55,000 now and can't fault too much. Well done mate, enjoy .

First mod was done today, not a massive one but the LED interior lights are done minus the vanity lights behind the sun visors. Very simple to do and makes a fair bit of difference.

Another quick and easy accessory fitted tonight. Thanks WOZCLEAN for manufacturing of the stickers. Also some crappy phone shots of the LED interior lights.

Another small addition this week. My new Scangauge II arrived and was installed yesterday. I ran it on gauge today showing MAP, water temp, volts and I added the X gauge for trans fluid temp. I am a little unsure on the accuracy of the TFT though as it got up to 105ºC today driving through town with moderate traffic, 1 or 2 hills and an outside temp of 28/29ºC.



Thinking about moving it a bit toward the dash though to be a bit less obtrusive.

So I finally sold my Disco on the weekend. Monday morning the call went in to get my accesories ordered. I have an OL bullbar, Safari snorkel, GME 3345, GME aerial, CTEK DCDC charger, Century Marine battery and a battery tray on order.
This morning I had great in going an paying for all the items (don't want the cash in the house).

2 hours after this a carpark incident was had (not my fault) and now the rear RH corner looks like this.



Thankfully the damage is only minor but it doesn't make it any less painful. The first damage always hurts.

I had a similar experience a few weeks back, some muppet punched in the same corner on my bumper and knocked it off its clips. Of course no details left so had to get it repaired at my own cost, around $500 for repair, repaint, and refit. Hubby thinks he has spotted the culprit in the local supermarket carpark (damage in right spot and height, same paint colour left on the bar, etc) but proving it would be another matter. I try and reverse into spots wherever possible, that way someone backing out of theirs is going to hit the bullbar instead and hopefully sustain some damage of their own in the process.

My Prado was off the road for 103 days last year after 2 incidents of which neither were my fault... I feel your pain!
