      Diesel upgrade

On Nov 1st Oz will go to Euro5 diesel regs See: http://www.dieselnet.com/standards/au/#my02

Does this mean the facelift will get the European 140kW/420Nm D4D which was introduced for their Euro5 regs?

When the new facelift hitting our shores? Has anyone got the dates and pricing for the new models?

Production starts aug 26 for the aus market, doesn't mention any changes to pricing (was shown vehicle bulletin at a dealer).

I'd upload the bulletin from a south african website but apparently the attachment limit is 19.5kb....

Dealer looked up the bulletin today, facelift Kakadu will have blind spot icon in mirror. They said that don't expect every feature in other markets including appearance to be the same in Australia. Many changes for GX and GXL. They said the current Prado looks different in China, Europe, NZ etc. A build request was put in by them within the past week and it is still the current model. Delivery is expected in 3 - 4 months, so they think the new one will not hit our roads until December at the earliest. This is not my opinion, but that of our dealer

Thanks for sharing the videos though, nice to see what's coming.

Wow the DRLs are in a weird spot. Tricky to see once the bar is on. New bits are neither attractive or ugly to me, just different. Thanks for the link.

Dealers must loath the internet. How many potential customers will do a Prado search find this and haggle for a better price on the old model. As they say knowledge is power. Still keen to know how much of the fruit will be in a AU version and at what spec level.

According to this article they may not retain the V6 petrol http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/t...826-2sky8.html

Don't mind the new front. The interior is different, not sure if I like it or not will have to reserve that decision until I see the real thing.

What gets me though is if they are going to put the spare underneath, why then have they retained the stupid Barn door? I would have thought by far the better option would be a split opening door like the 200.

Confirmed Euro 5 diesel engine in that article, I wonder if it has also had a power increase.
