  • Around 790 - 800 seems the sweet spot. With the rear at 820 - 830. I should measure mine again since it is coming up to 2 years. It's sitting just across the camp. Sort of washed after last nights deluge. Coffee tastes nice though. Maybe later.

What accessories/weights have you got over the front?

      • I measured mine again this morning. 796/794 front, 825/828 rear as it was sitting on the sand. That is with full tanks less 50km and 5 pissies in the polyairs.

Currently fitted over the front is only the second battery kit. So battery (25.38kg) plus maybe 3-4kg for tray, alternator and cables. A Smartbar will be fitted in April when we start serious touring.

But today, with about 200kms on the new suspension the front has already lowered to 803mm left and 800mm right. Rear is unchanged at 830mm (although the drawer system and fridge came out for some transport task). Looks like things are moving towards more desirable levels.

          • Sounds good. Smart bar won't add any weight.

            • I have Koni 88-1712 fronts and 90-5404L + R rear shocks With Lovell TFR-118 fronts and TRR-119 rears. Front height now 761mm and rear 822. Have airbags in the rear with 0 PSI right now. Am happy with the rear although would have thought the front would have been higher. Had a steel bar and dual batteries when suspension was done. Is the front right height?

              • The front is a bit low and sounds more like TFS-118 were fitted instead of TFR-118. The front should be around the 790-800mm mark.

                • Think I will go back and check. Not happy with the front height

                  • Went back to WA Suspensions and they swapped out the front springs and replaced with HD springs without any problems at all.. Front now sits at 795mm.

I always like businesses when they give good AFTER sales service. Not only before you hand over your cash.

                      Front ride height sounds good.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

                      • Hi guys, Just wanted some opinions on my suspension measurements, as I have absolutly no idea what I am talking about!

Got my lift done at TJM in November, I didn't think it looked very high when it was done, but didn't really look too much into it after that. It wasn't until I was picking up my Pet Barrier from Tin the other day when he also commented that it didn't look that high either.

So I did some measurement this afternoon. From bottom of rim to bottom of guard:

                        Front : 780
                        Rear : 830

I can see from the posts above that it should be closer to 790-800 at the front, but the rears seems good. When I was getting the suspension done, I also metioned that I was going to do a duel battery under the bonnet and they were going to take that into consideration, and I am yet to install the duel battery, so it would be even lower if that happens. I have no bullbar or winch, only extras are the rhino pioneer platform and ARB UVP.

                        Parts #'s as follows :
                        ( 659GE188LD Front Shocks)
                        ( 650GE288LD Rear Shocks)
                        ( 770FR88IT Front Springs )
                        ( 770RR88IT Rear Springs)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

                        Thanks!
                        John

                        • my next mod will be lift I have been reading through quite a few threads.
instead of creating a new thread I have posted here.
I am really seeing a trend,(Correct me please if I am wrong) people not happy with their upgrade.
I have been on here for just over 1 year but in the last few months there seems to be quite a lot of members with issues.
I could buy a kit and fit it but if 1 part is wrong then I wear the inconvenience and perhaps cost to get the right part(s)

I am looking at the DIDO solution.
Front end seems to be where most of the issues are.
Is there some major difference in the facelift front end geometry?
I believe there were changes made from what I have read.

anyway here are some measurements I took today

                              • mine - 2010 Petrol

before lift but with ARB winch bar fitted ( no lights or extra batteries though ):
                                front left 745mm
                                front right 750mm
                                rear left 780
                                rear right 790

after 2" lift of Bilstein shocks and Lovell springs:
                                front left 805mm
                                front right 810mm
                                rear left 850mm
                                rear right 850mm

extremely happy with the ride, a little harder but a lot more comfortable and stable
