I've personally used them for some consumables (filters etc) and also for a faulty door lock mechanism and rate their service and pricing. When I'm up for a set of injectors I will be using them.

Yes, all new genuine Toyota parts... Parts out of UAE dubai take longer to process but are significantly cheaper then the alternatives from Japan etc so plan ahead. My recent order from Dubai took around 30 days (but this was known prior to ordering).

Thanks for the info mate......certainly would make the fitting of new ones much cheaper.

I used these guys as well without any issues. Parts from UAE took about 3 weeks, all arrived well packaged.

If they aren't I couldn't tell. But I can say that they are working better than the old ones - no hint if rattling at all.

I didn't take any close ups of the injector packaging itself, but here is my pile of goodies just before I started pulling my 1KD to bits...

              One of the injectors:

              Hope this helps,
              Jeremy

Edit: Forgot to add - my injectors came with o-ring pre-installed, and the coated seals in the box, so now I have some surplus seals and o-rings (I ordered them separately).

And you fitted them yourself Jeremy? Any advice for others contemplating this.

                Cheers Andrew

Yeah Andrew, I fitted myself over a month ago now. I just took it slow, following the workshop manual (happened to be a for a hilux, but 1KD nonetheless). I reused the four fuel pipes as the ends looked good (no burring like what was shown in some of Roo's pics).

The only thing I didn't do (due to lack of proper equipment) was pressure test the return pipe to inspect for leaks. I did keep a very close eye on the oil for the first couple weeks though, and there's been no contamination, so I'm pretty sure it's ok. At 23000 psi, I would expect my sump to fill up rather quickly if there was a leak.

Removing the injectors was fairly easy really, even with no1&2 gunked up (pics in one of the other injector threads). Cleaning the crap out of the injector ports was much more time consuming. I used a rag soaked in carby cleaner on the end of a screwdriver and a lot of persistence. There might be easier ways, but being an IT geek, and not a dieso mechanic I thought I'd play it safe.

All in all it would have taken me about 10 hours, but that was taking it very slow, double checking everything, consulting with pradopoint, and cleaning the throttle body and elbow (again) while I was at it. If you haven't had any issues with leaking injector seals, then you could take a couple hours of cleaning off of that.

Edit: clearly was having too much fun and miscalculated the time I was in the shed... More than 7 hours...

So that test for pressure there shown on Global Services, not many people do it that way anymore. It's done through the diagnostic tool. Basically what happens is that the tool takes over on the throttle settings and then takes the engine up to about 3,000 rpms and checks for any fault codes to do with a fuel leak through the ECM. Effectively, putting the whole fuel system under it's maximum load. Pretty smart ah. The ECM will throw a fault code if there are any leaks.
So even if you stuff up on the torque values and there is a leak, you know it and you can fix it. I haven't stuffed up on one yet, and I don't wish to either, touch wood. It's just to much work to go back in there again, well commercially speaking anyway.
It's a good idea to have a good set of metric ratchet spanners and of course that 17mm crowsfoot flared wrench. It's pretty cheap to buy a full set too, around the $100.00 mark for the set. The 301382 set like what's on this link. Hit the photo there and it will come up big so you can have a look.

And of cause, you will need a good torque wrench and the torque settings. PM me if you want them.
I reckon if anyone wants to do this, well, I am there to help if you want it. Just PM me.
If you are alright on the tools you can do this job with the help of people on this forum.
By the way, that company as above is the real deal and the injectors are new ones. Just be ready with your VIN number when you go onto their site. Just another good bargain found by the members here.
                    The Roo.
Roo, I haven't checked the manual but what is the crows foot spanner for?
Would love to see a full photo tutorial of the install Whos the guinea pig???

                        Okay I have two questions.

                        1. Are these injectors okay for the 150 prado?

                        2. Would it be okay to purchase one injector every couple of months when I have a few spare dollars ? Or do you need to purchase all at once to ensure same batch lot?

                        SOL.

There's also the issue of going in there four times to do one set of injectors, no thank you. It's more economical to change out all four even if you are doing the job because of the labour. The 150s part number is 23670-39365. The last of the 120s part number is 23670-39316.
So sorry about being the bearer of bad news, but it's a big job getting the EGR cooler off, the pipes, the injectors out and back in etc, etc..

Roo mate. I will get them fitted at the same time. Am just wondering if I buy the injectors over say six months if I have a few hundered to waste occasionaly. Then when it is time for injector change I already have the injectors ready to go.

                              Hey Gents,
Seriously considering replacing my Injectors as 'preventitive maintenance' since i've done just over 150k.
However, checking the parts catalogue against my VIN, I'm getting a different part number for the injector assay.
I get 23670-39185 when searching my VIN -
                              http://toyota-general.epc-data.com/l...BZ29J700142265

But I note - 23670-39316 is the suggested part number in this thread.

Is there any difference? Is 23670-39316 a newer injector model?
