          • Haven't done mine yet but anyone know of someone around Hervey Bay they would recommend or has done a few and could give me a hand to do them.

I'm at 120,000 and want to do them, valve clearances etc.

              • Hi All

My rig has just hit 130K and I'm going to give it a birthday. I'm wanting to do the injectors as part of a complete intake clean but I have the following questions. If those in the know could comment I'd appreciate it.

Q1: When fitting new injectors some talk of changing the injector codes etc. Does Toyota have to do this before firing it up or does it just run better if the codes are changed. Note: I don't have a computer/scanner to do this myself.

Q2: Can someone please check over the list below. I've tried to compile it from this thread but I'm getting confused as to what injector seal and o-ring to use and whether they're included with the injector assy.

                • I can code your injectors if you don't want Toyota to do it. I'm in Perth and have Techstream. Did mine last year no probs.

                  • What is the part number for the intake manifold gasket(s) so i can take this off to clean it out please? Thanks

                    • The gaskets are steel so you won't (shouldn't) need to replace any. I've had mine off a couple of times now with no problems.

                        • D4D Injector Pricing

Dates on this sticky seem a bit old now. Can anyone please tell me the best current price and where to buy for a full kit to replace a 2008 D4D injector set? Also, I need them installed in Sydney so if anyone knows who can do it and what price that would also be good. If one location can supply and fit then a total price would help as well. I've seen the kits available from Rick in NZ but would then need a local installer. I am approaching 200K in my Prado, no issues to date at all and seemingly very little cold rattle but I am just being careful. Many thanks in advance.

                              • Dear, here in the other side of the word injectors are very expensive, 1000€ / 1500$AUS per unit and there are a lot of engine failures due to open injectors
