Did you end up finding the fault?
Got a very similar problem just put another ac control unit in but it is still not turning off and cannot turn ac off did you find the fault with yours in the end? Thanks

. It didn't last but because it works when the vehicle is reset (battery disconnected) there must be no electrical fault as such. Just some weird software glitch. It must be because of the later model Toyota navigation/CD player the previous owner fitted. I am not happy but sometimes we must accept these kind of issues. It just means I can't sell the car.. I could not dump this problem on some other poor bugger.
