REASON FOR SELLING: A few people asked me to make them, so here they are.
PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $35 + $12.50 postage (free postage if sent with a set of sliders)
EXTRA INFO: Bead breaker attaches to Toyota jack, suitable for Prado, Hilux, Landcruiser maybe others as well.

Interesting demo Andrew. I saw a similar video once of a guy using a high lift jack to break the bead on a tyre. Pretty similar to what you show here except no fin on the base of the jack. I'm assuming there is a reason why you shouldn't just use the base of the jack to do this or you wouldn't have gone to the trouble of making what looks like a great product. Can you fill me in?

The trick to getting a bead broken quickly and easily is to apply the pressure on the bead itself, as close to the rim as possible. I grew up working every weekend in my old mans wrecking yard and removed countless hundreds of tyres, the old tyre changer he had whilst air operated didn't angle in to get a good push on the bead and it often took dozens of attempts to break the bead.

Like wise if you are not push directly on the bead you are pulling the bead off by pushing down on the sidewall, this is not only slow and difficult, often needing many attempts it also risks damaging the side wall of the tyre which is not the part you want to be pushing on. Thats my theory anyway, yes a jack or a highlift could get you out of trouble if need be, but I think this is quicker and easier and much less chance of damaging a tyre, which lets face, if you are remote and repairing a tyre doing more damage is the last thing you want to do.
