  • Recovery point for 90 series with factory alloy bar

    I was contacted by a fellow Adelaide PP member to look at recovery points for his 90 series fitted with Toyota alloy bar.

    This is the bullbar mounting bracket which bolts onto the chassis. It has an integral tie down point which is far too low to be used as a recovery point as it will bend. The front face of the bracket blocks any way of mounting recovery hooks.

    This is the concept of a new "recovery point". It requires drilling 2 holes into the side of the bullbar bracket and is positioned as high as possible to reduce the leverage from the distance to the chassis. There will be a next revision to improve it a bit more.

    Does anyone else need these points as it will be cheaper if more are manufactured at the same time.

      I've got an Ironman bullbar and need front recovery points. Would yours suit?
      Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other baby

                Don't forget the weakest link is the rating for the recovery point. I would make the mk:11 version out of steel plate. Not sure that paper clips are rated either. Ken.

                3.4 GXL man 1997 petrol / gas, BFG mud tyres 265 75 16, front and rear camera, Jaycar 6300Lm LED 6.5" D/L * 2, 15W LED reversing/work light, diff breathers, 42mm lift, Rear Anderson plug, Dash cam, and way too much recovery gear for one vehicle to carry around. No more HID headlamps. No more Narva D/L.

The to do list is getting shorter.
