    GTG 2012 Prize Winners

Once again the Committee would like to thank all the sponsors for their kind donations of prizes for this years GTG.

Here is a list of the winners, although I think everyone that attended would agree that just being there was prize enough.

The first prize that was awarded by unanimous decision by the committee was the “Hard Luck Prize” which was a $200 voucher from ARB. The decision as to who to award this too was an easy one, the committee discussed this for about 3 seconds before coming to the conclusion that Grandeandy should receive it.

Others might like to elaborate but basically Andrew blew an airbag on the Prado whilst at Arkaroola a day or 2 before the GTG started, he limped into Port Augusta, was unable to be fixed there so Limped to Adelaide and had it repaired with the plan to join us at Beachport for the last 2 days. When we arrived at Beachport we met Andrew who informed us that he went for a drive in the dunes that morning and the airbag blew again, so after traveling all the way over and around the state he actually didn’t get on the tracks with us at all. As I said, a stand out winner and an easy decision.

The organising committee did a fantastic job. The extent of the sponsors, prizes and number of attendees confirms this as perhaps the best ever PP GTG. A stand-out memory for those that were lucky enough to participate. Well done to all the winners, and also again to the organising committee.

Yeah guys even though I wasn't there :-(:-( it seems a huge effort was put into the whole planning stage by committee, sponsers. Sounds like it was an absolute pearler of a week and with only a couple of people having some vehicle issues sounds like it all went off with out any problems and every one was well behaved (except maybe one or tow people ) but all in good fun which is what its all about. Have told the wife I dont give a shit what's on next year I'm going to the GTG so if theres any weddings, engagements, anniversary's, funerals (except my own) I'M GOING and have started my cunning kit already, mmm now what else can I Ebay without her knowing ??? .............Cheers Steve

I figured we would have missed something. Trish wrote them all down and must have missed that one.

Let me know if there are any others I have missed.

    Cheers Andrew
