    Hi Folks

Looks like you have an eager bunch of volunteers, as one of the committee for the Qld 2011 GTG the more the better as some will drop out due to circumstances beyond their control. Also we found that for each task or position eg. Sponsorship that you have more than one person assigned so that the tasks can be shared.

We also set up an email address for the committee and had a distribution group as well, this way it can be kept in house. The Croweaters did a great job of keeping up the interest on the PP website and we found the same. We looked at using Google Documents but didn't have enough knowledge on how to do it at that point.

If you would like to ask any questions about how we did it don't hesitate to send me a pm.

The best part we found and I'm sure the SA folks did as well, was the recces, we did approx 12 and they ranged from day trips to weekends, and we had a ball!

Bring it on I can't wait, Richo.

I have invited the above people into the 2014 G2G group that I have just created, except for Mark and Paula as I am guessing they are not members of PP?

At this years GTG there was a lot of discussion about where the next one would be. The Vic boys were keen to host one but given they reckon April is the time to do it then 2013 was out of the question given the organisation involved. No one else suggested they would be willing to do a 2013 GTG so at this stage there is not going to be one.

Anyone could put their hand up and arrange one if they like though, no one is stopping someone from volunteering.

There was also discussion about having a less formal GTG or even a couple in 2013, a Simpson trip and / or a Cape trip, no sponsors, no recces, no leaders, just meet at a point and head off.

A simpson trip in Late 2013 to coincide with the Birdsville races has already been proposed and a thread started.

                              Cheers Andrew
