Yes I had to drill out the holes in the 2nd and 3rd rows. Congratulations on your new rack!

      Hi Andrew.

      Looks Great.
I have a Rhino 42102 which carries my roof top tent awning and second spare (they have a holder to fit rack)

Top product and it survived 900KM of corrugation on Anne Beadell Highway no problems!

Thanks Andrew, I'd better measure twice and drill once then

Picked up and fitted my Rhino R42103B (B for Black - looks better than silver on mine) Pioneer Platform Rack today:

Rhino have changed the design but not the instructions - instead of the large number of rivets they now use bolt on saddle clamps:

Really easy to fit on my own - I had to drill new holes for the middle and rear cross bars as AMTS said but I just measured the spacing on the feet and transferred this to the rack. It all lined up first time so very happy with that.

I also got a Rhino Sunseeker II awning but I will have to make up some brackets to be able to fit this.

I like the bolt on clamps.
I also made some channel nuts for my awning bracket and Maxtrax holders. Can't use ordinary channel nuts anymore on the rack as there is not enough contact length.

I've been wondering what to do for channel nuts as they could do with being slightly wider - wasn't sure if there is enough to hold. I also need to make up some plates to mount the awning as I need to fit the brackets upside down so that the awning is below the rack line not above it so that it will still go in the garage.

Here's a pic of the rack with awning, maxtrax holder and spacecase mounted on top of the rack. Each awning bracket is mounted to the rack using custom (longer) channel nuts, with the centre hole of the channel nut taking an M10 eyebolt. I figured there was no point using another channel nut for a separate tie down point.

                      G'day guys,
Just wondering if you can clear up how you attached the RTT on the rhino rack? Is there a special bracket from rhino, or do they fit without any mods? Just tossing up between wind cheetah or rhino. With the rhino being a lot cheaper, it is a bit more attractive option.
