      I spaced the self leveling sensors today to lift the rear a bit and here's the before and after measurements,

      FR 740mm -> 810mm
      FL 740mm -> 810mm
      RR 780mm -> 830mm
      RL 790mm -> 840mm

      I suspect the front will settle around the 800mm mark and the rear when in the H position sits at 890mm!

      The bags seem too stiff and driving through a pot hole tonight slowly made them feel as they there were topping out so I think inner to drop then down 10mm but I can not get them to be even on both sides! Without even adjusting the passenger sensor the thing had lifted the same height so it made no difference!

        Strange that you can't get them even. Are you using panel washers to space out the sensors? I would've thought that a couple of washers less on the higher side would've levelled the rear out.

          I bought and fitted up a Feather lite awning today. Pretty happy with its quality and ease of fitment.

          It's free standing and 2.5m long and comes out 2.1m off the car.

          Fitment ended up being onto the Toyota roof racks the car came with that i took off, the awning itself came with two stainless steel L shaped brackets and i then got a couple of bolts for each bracket which locked into the toyota rack. It was pretty easy to fix down and i had the brackets face down so that the awning didnt sit too high, i used 4 high tensile bolts in the awning track to attach to the L brackets. Overall very happy with it and can't wait to try it out!

          (the bolts closets to the awning on the top bracket will be changed to stainless but they were all i had)

              Today i did the final touch on the work light holder and started the next project.

              I put the third hose clamp on the light holder to ensure its sturdiness, i also re-routed the wiring so instead of it running back up the pole and across it now goes straight into the rear door and looks so much better.

              And this is part of the next project, it will all be explained tomorrow when i finish it.

                Then i set about installing my reversing lights. They are LED Auto lamps emergency lights which have a flash mode of 19 different patterns and a steady on mode. It involved removing the rear bumper to see where i could best mount them behind it, i want to get them as flush mounted as possible to lift them up preventing them from getting ripped off on a track. I found the best location and then with some careful measurements and a good pair of scissors i cut the piece out of the bumper bar and was left with a very nice cut. I am going to cover the bottom 'insert' bit of the rear bar in the same carbon fibre stuff that i did on the doors so you won't notice the cut edges at all.

                I also installed my Show-Me LED flasher which is connected to the reverse lights and front parkers, by flicking the emergency lights switch on the dash it activates the reverse lights flash (just installed) as well as the normal reverse lights and front parkers, there prove much more effective when in a situation that you need to get peoples attention then the standard hazards. To install this setup it involves a fair few one way diodes to be able to feed 2 different signals into the lights without one signal activating the other.

                    And in the end i ended up with very bright reverse lights that make a huge difference!

                    I also ordered a 5m water proof white led strip to insert on the awning for light, the strip comes with an on/off/dimmer switch which will be great for when i want a little light but not full brightness and i ordered another 2 X 2.5m of canvas to make an extension off the awning if i need the extra coverage.

                    I picked up a new battery aswell as the current one is on its last legs, that will be fitted next week but because i am going an n70ZZ size battery that has reversed terminals the battery cables need changing. I am also going to buy a dual battery tray for behind the drivers head light and get the auxilary battery installed.

                        Did it come without a remote? On my 90 series that was the "valet key" meant for when you leave your car with a parking attendant although IIRC mine would unlock the door but not the glovebox.

                          Fido, it only came with one key which I presume is the 'master' key that has the transponder built into it. Is it another key without the transponder that operators the glovebox? This would seem silly for the master key to not be able to manually open the door and the glovebox, afterall the valet key shouldn't open the glovebox that way it can be locked and no one can rummage through it.

                            Fitted a Supercharge Sea Master MFM70 today, she crank's so much happier.

                            I also bought some new pads for the rear, received my LED strip light for the awning and ordered a 22" LED light bar for in the front bar..

                              I fitted my 22" LED light bar yesterday. The mission was to make it fit in the front section of the bumper bar where the number plate used to sit and keep it looking factory as possible (as well as hard to steal).

                              The bar i bought it much larger then what i had on the hilux, so my vision wasn't going to work as it's mounts were different also.

                              I bought two 150 X 200mm metal brackets from bunnings, 4 high tensile 90mm bolts and set about mounting the light bar upside down as this was the only possible way of having it flush with the front of the bar and at the right height.

                              It also meant cutting out a part of the black plastic piece that sat in the middle of the bar.

                                And the end result, im really happy with it. It isn't hooked up yet as i am waiting on my custom switch from Ian at Custom Rocker Switches. As luck would have it the numberplate holes lined up perfectly with two of the allen key bolts in the light bar so this gave a good sturdy place to mount the plate back onto.
