Are RDA slotted rotors any good?

Looks like the go. Slotted rotors are better. Just don't get the ones with holes in them because people have stated that mud gets in holes when off road.

Thanks for that. I'm sick of the vibrations when braking and overdue to get the rotors replaced.
This is the cheapest I have found. Just not sure of the seller. If anyone knows of other places that sell for similar price, let me know.

Is it worth getting the rotors skimmed these days? ie is there enough meat on the rotor to still be within spec after a skim? Im up for a set of pads soon, and either skimming the rotors or swapping them out. I'm starting to get some vibrations under braking as well..

Have your OE rotors been skimmed before Andrew?

It costs about $25.00 per rotor to have them skimmed. The OE rotors are very good IMO as are the OE pads.

Having said that.... The RDA rotors with Benix 4wd pads are a good combination. OE rotors and OE pads will just last a lot better than most aftermarket stuff.

The OEM rotors were skimmed previously at 80,000km when I first got the car 3 years ago. It started vibrating slightly again about a year ago. I'm now at 146,000km. I'm not sure how much is left for skimming but it seems due for a change and hoping for better performance with new rotors.

            Jase,
Perhaps we can combine shipping if you need to change yours as well.

Andrew, I used these guys to get front and rear RDA slotted rotors and front and rear Bendix 4WD pads - excellent value and very quick delivery even to WA.

I have no affiliation with them but would recommend them 100%

The improvement in mine was fantastic.

Their combined shipping saved me a huge amount.

My RDA rotors + Bendix pads were half the cost of OEM so even if they only last half as long I would consider them great value.

I've just bought a set from these guys, as Toyota have been telling me for a while that my original discs were getting close to replacement. Haven't fitted the discs/pads yet, but they delivered them in quick time, and all was well with the entire transaction on Ebay.

Amts, I'll most probably get mine skimmed before swapping them out, thanks though..

Cheers John. Their ebay listing shows free shipping. Tempting. Wonder how the zinc coating will last?

I have a set on the front and the braking, combined with RDA Extreme pads, was markedly improved.

So I've taken the plunge and bought the discs from the above guys from their ebay listing.
I also bought Bendix 4WD pads from another ebay seller. Both have arrived and now its time to put them in.

I can't seem to find the DIY installation instructions for the discs. I've only found the one for the 90 series http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...or-replacement
