    Tools required
    • Trolley jack
    • Jack stands
    • 10mm spanner
    • SST

    Instructions
    1. Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported at the chassis and not at the rear axle prior to the installation.
    2. Locate the air compressor on the passenger's side aft of the rear axle.
    3. On the compressor, locate the 2 outlets with air lines leading to each airbag.
    4. Squeeze and remove the retainer clip (note its orientation) that goes over the outlet and slide it back on the air line.
    5. Using the SST, wrap it around the airline and with the pointy end towards the outlet, slide it fully into the outlet.
    6. Using your fingers, grab hold of the air line behind the SST and slowly remove the air line from the outlet. The airbags will start to deflate. Remove the SST. Note the O-ring attached to the air line - do not disturb this O-ring.
    7. Take the airbag spacer and loosen the M6 screw until none of it protrudes inside the cavity of the airbag.
    8. Lift the airbag off the rear axle mount and clean the surfaces (underneath the airbag and top of rear axle mount) if necessary.
    9. Insert the spacer into the rear axle mount. Take care to align the roll pin on the spacer with the keyed hole in the rear axle mount.
    10. Rotate the spacer until the M6 bolt is facing the rear of the vehicle and ensure that at this orientation, the spacer cannot be lifted out of the rear axle mount.
    11. Lower the airbag onto the spacer.
    12. Clean the air line removed earlier at the compressor outlet and reinsert the air line.
    13. Reinstall the air line retainer clip.
    14. Repeat the install for the other side.
    15. With both sides now with spacers installed, ensure that all the contact surfaces are clean and have good contact.
    16. Start the engine and let the compressor fill up the airbags.
    17. Tighten up the M6 screw on each spacer until it holds onto the bottom stub of the airbags.
    18. Tighten up the M6 nut on the screw against the spacer.
    19. Remove vehicle supports and lower the vehicle to the ground.

Fitted the spacers up last night and would like to add that if your droop travel exceeds the length of your chassis stands, like mine does, then you will need to remove the rear wheels to extend the suspension fully. This actually makes access to the airbags easier. Also, access under the bottom spring seat is tight for the bottom spacer bolt and I found that whenever I dropped the bolt, it ended up inside the sway bar bracket. Temporarily masking up this bracket stopped the bolt and washers from falling in there. Otherwise, all good!

Finally got time to fit up the spacers tonight. Should've read further down the threads and read Peter's tip about taping up the sway bar bracket. Took me a couple of minutes to find where the bolt had fallen after I dropped the first one! Apart from a bit of fiddling around with the bolt it was a straight forward job Great piece of kit thanks Andrew...Cheers again

No worries. Really please now knowing that the airbags are basically back to their original inflated state with the same lift (currently running the rear at 830mm bottom of rim to wheel arch)

Looks like im digging up an old thread here, do these spacers actually provide a lift to the rear?

The purpose of the airbag spacer is to space the bottom so that the airbag don't overextend when lifted. The actual lift itself is done by tweaking the airbag sensors.

Ok cool, are these spacers still available? If so where from?

                      Thanks

                          Hey guys,

Probably a dumb question, but I'm new to all this so you'll have to forgive me haha

Where would I find the airbag sensors on my 120 grande?

And in terms of tweaking them, is that just as simple as adding washers or something to something?❓❓

If so I'll be in the market for a set of these ASAP!
