    Hi Everyone,
Order placed today, 2013 GXL Petrol Auto. With Roof Rack and tow bar. PM'ed about Pradopoint Sticker and Stubbie coolers (very important). have a Quote from UV 4x4 for a GME 3540 and ARB under bonnet compressor. Let the fun begin!

Hey 2 cows ARB Coopers Plains have consistently given me the best price and service on their products, I actually drive past another ARB store in my area to go there.

Instead of making a new thread, pehaps I can tack onto this one for some further feedback:

A recent change in our future plans and the financials required to permit them require a 'change in the air'.
Suffice to say we are needing to off-load our VDJ200Sahara (the SS Commy and possibly the caravan) and go another (cheaper) option.
We are heavily thinking about looking into purchasing an '09 Petrol 150GXL V6 manual with 209k on the clock.
What are the things to look out for in the 150 petrol prado's, are these V6's any good at 200k (our VDJ has 272k and still purrs like a kitten) and in general IF we keep the van, how are they for towing apx 1.8 ton MAX?

Any constuctive critisim will be very appreciated in helping make a decision.

On the side, we are not interested in the diesel as the cost is too high for similar age vehicles. Also, the GX grade is off the list too.
A manual is a must as we will be going back to one car for the family and we want to teach the kids to drive and get a manual license (as they are approaching 'that' age).

My Brother went through this same process not long ago and ended up with a Colarado which I am not interested in as I am loyal to the toyota 4x4's (hense teh prado consideration).

Thanks in advance for any replies :-)

Definitely check the guards for cracks, the design was fixed with the 2014 update. Have only seen it on a couple but check the top of the body around the tailgate for rust. With an automatic I would want to see the colour of the tranny oil, easy enough to do.

Thanks krypto, please forgive my ignorance, but what guards are you talking about and where would the cracks likely be found?
                Cheers
