I wasn't aware that they had updated it.

The incident last weekend coincided with my first use of the tigerz11 10000lb winch.

Overall, it worked quite well, in that it got me out of a bog where I was bottomed out hard. It's not fast but it chugs along well. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a Warn, so for the type of driving I do this should be sweet.

Busy again. $35 rear view camera combo from Kong Hong.





Works quite well. Wired up to my rear light which made it easy. Now just got to find one that doesn't flip the image for the front.

Picked up some alloys





$300 for 5 fitted, no complaints here. I'm even starting to like the retro style.

I took the Hella Comet 550s off the bullbar too. If anyone is interested they're on Ebay at the moment. I was going to keep them in case I get a roof rack, but space is an issue.

Looking at a dpchip at the moment. A bit jealous as my mate just got a taipan exhaust fitted and his 80 series tuned. Wow, that thing flies.

The Tigerz11 got me out of trouble a few weeks ago. It's not as quick as a warn 9.5XP but it does the job and wouldn't hesitate recommending it.

Cool, sounds good. I'm running a straight through muffler and it made a noticeable difference on the stock system. Turbo spools up earlier and it sounds great.

So after 28 000km the rear shocks were buggered. I took it back to the suspension specialist breathing fire and got a terrific response. He agreed and fitted Koni all round and put HD Lovells in the front completely free of charge! The place is Capital Steering and Suspension in Fyshwick, ACT and I can recommend Peter totally. If a tradesman can admit to making a mistake and rectify it above expectations, then I'm sold.

The front of the car is now much higher with the HD in.



Its a ballsy looking set-up now.





Feels like its lifted now!

The ride is soooo much better. It's unbelievable now that the shakes and rattles are so much less and the car points and shoots into corners like a sedan. The rear mediums soak up the bumps really well. The new HD front is very positive and firm. Hopefully the front will settle a little bit otherwise I'll get some polyairs that I can play with when I have the boat on .

Santa comes early this year. Safari is being fitted as I type. Hopefully have the slide in on Thursday ready for another trip north to Armidale and Sawtell.

It's on there but I want to take it off and do it again. The bolts provide are interesting lengths and in the rush I forgot to rustproof the holes for the hawse. Lessons learned there.

What do you mean by "rustproof the holes for the hawse"? Are you referring to the holes on the hawse itself or the ones on the bar where it mounts to?

What do you mean by "rustproof the holes for the hawse"? Are you referring to the holes on the hawse itself or the ones on the bar where it mounts to?

I didn't have time to get an offset hawse before the trip, so I used the standard one that was supplied and drilled holes through the bar for it to fit. I forgot to paint the bare steel exposed on the bar by the holes.
