Yeah I was wondering the same thing?
And the chassis the same..

I guess the engine won't actually vibrate anymore (seeing as the 1kz isn't exactly a smooth idling engine) but maybe more NVH transmitted into the chassis and cabin?
I'm sure the 2005 d4d Hilux I had just had standard mounts, now toydiy.com doesn't have parts diagrams it's become a bit tedious to look into such things without a genuine need.

Hi all, I just installed new mounts today. What a mission!!! Anyway they were transgold mounts and they are not vacuum assisted. They have the place to connect the vacuum hose but are a solid rubber mount. The morning will be the test as it has been vibrating bad in drive when cold. Will let you know how it goes. Better be good cause I don't want to go through that again any time soon!

These mounts are no good!! Transgold!! I thought they would be good at the start but after a drive around they are crap. The engine shakes way worse than it did. It nearly vibrates me out of the seat now. Make sure you go genuine or you will be doing the job twice like me. Lesson learnt !!!!

I just checked that part number (12361-30141 INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNTING, FRONT) and it comes up for the 150 series prado?
12361-30120 (08/2009 - 08/2010) 2

12361-30141 (11/2010 - 07/2013) 2

The number i got for the 120 series prado is (12361-30050 (08/2006 - 09/2008) INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNTING, FRONT)!

I can not tell from parts diagram the physical differences (Maybe they are interchangeable for both models) but that's what the parts list is showing me?

The part number is from the invoice I have from December 2012 when I replaced them the second time. Have ordered two more as the motor is coming out to fix a holed piston.

New engine in. New engine mounts fitted. It is quieter with the new mounts fitted. Would I do the mounts if the engine was not out, no. Too much work. Last time I did them took several hours. Absolute bugger of a job.
Must have chucked the first ones out as can't find them in the spares kit. Wanted to see if the part numbers where different or different size.

Has anyone swapped out the active engine mounts with normal hilux ones?
Just wondering as they are controlled by the ecu would I need to blank off the vacuum hoses.

You could swap the mounts for anything if you had access to a welder and the like. But I would think it would be more trouble than its worth. As above the original mounts do a good job on noise transmittal. I have replaced mine twice and as I said earlier, unless the motor is coming out it is more work than its worth.
