QLD - Dirty Weekends Tour 16 - Senic Rim & Cambanoora Gorge

After reading the post from last weekend by Wazza2 and not having driven one of the DW tours, my wife and I are looking at doing "Tour 16" on Sunday 17th and would like to send an invitation to other PP members if they would like to join us. We are looking at doing as much of this drive as possible but mostly looking forward to driving the Condamine River Rd and seeing the Queen Mary Falls.

Look at heading off from Boonah at 930 and have lunch along the way and be back in Brisbane late afternoon.

WEATHER: If we get hit by severe storms, we would be cancelling the drive due to the track being closed and rivers crossing levels being too high.

WHAT TO BRING: Prado (others also welcome), morning tea/lunch/afternoon tea, water/drinks, air compressor / recovery gear, UHF channel 16

MEETING POINT: Carpark in the park on the conner of Yates Ave and Walter St at 915 for a 930 departure.

Should be a great drive and I hope I come home with sidesteps in the same condition in the afternoon....

I would have been in this for sure, but I have the Ipswich Cup Corporate Tent to attend on Saturday with free grog and food, and then off to a 40th party down the Gold Coast after the races...

I don't think I will be fit for driving all day on Sunday.

It should be a beautiful day on Sunday AVJ. I'm probably a non-starter, but in case I get through most of my tasks on Sat, it would be great if you can firm up the time. I won't know for sure until early Saturday evening.

In case you're after a meeting place, Cafe 17 on High St, Boonah is a pleasant spot for getting started. For those who don't mind a short walk, I highly recommend walking to the head of Brown's Falls, though expect to get your feet wet. In warmer months, a quick dip under the waterfall is invigorating.

Would have loved to come along, but hubby is at cricket and I'm saving my pennies for my week long camping trip the first week of the holidays
