Andrew, I got mine last week thanks. I didn't get time to install it before heading out to Holland Track. On the first dat when crossing a big puddle I almost punctured the radiator. Serves me right I guess but first thing I'm doing when I clean up the car is i'll be installing the bashie. Luckily all ended up well.

Hi Kim,
You might want to cut off the 2 tabs on the leading edge of the factory bashplates to allow the factory plate to sandwich the radiator plate properly.
Just knocked the 2tabs further off - my existing plate must of been bashed around before (not square) so not sitting flush, right side the worst. Will keep an eye on it
Thanks
Kim

Any idea if this would work with TJM underbody protection. Does this have any effect on heat? I.e. less air to radiator means running a bit hotter?
Yes it works with the TJM front underbody protection....and all the other TJM underbody protection.. as I've just installed Amts radiator bash plate. Please look underneath.
I've recently installed one of these radiator plates as the frontal area under the sovereign bar is very exposed. As my OEM front plate was so badly beaten up from a trip to City View I decided not to put it back on. Truth be told it was all a bitchy job because:
a. Couldn't get the OEM plate off, too badly mauled (& threads were shot)
b. Had to get a fabricator to turn my winch clutch lever who then had to re weld the old guider (4 lever) back up into the Sov bar as it was facing downwards towards the ground. Could have been smashed off anytime going over rocks etc. I could have cut the plate to allow for access but it would have looked silly, not remedied the hanging clutch lever..and after spending all the $$$$$ on shiny S.Steel!!!
c. Had to get a mobile thread re- fitter as one of the threads was totally gone. The old plate is so flimsy it bends easily allowing the housing units to warp easily. Or my mechanic may have hammered the old plate off ruining the thread??!!
So with the cost of the radiator plate, the TJM plate and all the other associated jobs it turned out to be a fairly expensive trip and I've still not finished with the sidesteps.
Followed Gramps instructions, they were perfect, I just used masking tape to mark the holes and drill. Other than that thank you very much Gramps. The S.S radiator plate looks fantastic and nicely protects it and the condensor. The TJM plate is sexy as, 3mm thick and a lot more robust than the OEM. Did not take a pic underneath it but as well as the two metal housing pieces for the OEM bolts there is a middle (third) housing which sits on the Chassis rail, which will stop it bending and flexing in the middle. It's therefore a lot more rigid and it weighs a lot more too!
Amts rad bash plate is a great mod if you have the Sov bar. Also anyone doing 4wd ing should look into aftermarket bash plates as the old one is tinny as! Don't regret doing all this, should protect me nicely in future nasty trips. May get rear TJM plates next..have to save the money!!
Ps I know my winch looks messy, just not had time to re-pack it properly.
Cheers C.
