Has anyone bought recently the Ridge Ryder electric winch 9500 lbs and fitted it to there 150 Prado? I would like to know your thoughts and would you recommend it.
Thank you
George

I had one on my previous car, it was fine. I'd also check the tigerz11, if you want a slightly dearer option, they come with the quality Thompson solenoid.
I'd suggest that no matter what winch you buy, you need to maintain it and use and check it regularly. Just paying top dollar doesn't negate the need to maintain.
Heath.
I totally agree with you Heath you would need to maintain it and use it regardless of what you pay. I know Warn winches are around the $1700 plus fitting, though for $400 as mentioned by DGW its a good deal. I find it hard to justify buying something so expensive just for the odd chance you would use it. I suppose it depends how much 4WDing you do by yourself. Warn winches are very good though.
As I mentioned earlier, who else has used one of these before?
