Just did mine this morning. Used generic cooper branded filters. ( from bursons). Air filter, oil filter and pollen AC filter under 42 bucks total. Side by side I will be buggered if I can spot a difference. I even bought an extra oil filter and cut it apart to compare to the old one. Twins I suspect. Identical build.
Buggered if I will pay outrageous Toyota prices.

Can you confirm the part number for the oil filter @ $16.55 = 90915-30002 ?
My son works for Toyo part time so I'll see if his boss can match the prices for Sydney owners.

agree with the brands - I was lucky and before I left WA I worked next door to a cooper distributor and asked for a QUOTE on 5 x air , 5 x fuel and 10 by oil filters for 95 series petrol as well as a couple of sets of belts and a box of metal back wiper refills they doubled the quantities on the QUOTE and came in with a box full of the above times 2 and thanked me for the use of our car park for the last 2 years at the same time I got 60 denso plugs at $1.65 each but that company owed me no favours -

For air and fuel, they quoted me -
The fuel filter 23390-64480 is selling @$70.50 each and air cleaner
17801-67060 @ $59 each; GST inclusive and free freight within Australia.

No huge saving there so I'll wait till I need them. When I cried off due to the high cost, they said -
We are selling wesfil cooper fuel filters WCF104 at $25 each, and Wesfil air filter WA1017 for $28 each.

Any thoughts to the quality of the Coopers? otherwise AMTS prices above look pretty good.

I'm not going cheap with any of them, however that doesn't mean I'll pay top dollar either.
I bought the genuine Toyota oil filters at $31 ea. Much better than $40+ even if I had to buy 10 to do it.

They import their filters direct from Japan and with their next order, they are going to see what deal they can put together for us with the genuine fuel and air filters.

Isijapaneseparts told me that they buy from the Toyota Sydney depot. They buy in 200 units plus of the same filter to get the price down. That's how they do it with the price. 10 oil filters is only 50,000 kms worth of services anyway, so the volume of ten is not that much when you look at it that way.

Hey roo. after chatting with ya i thought id look up this thread. ill go with 10 oil and 10 fuels for the 1kz in fleetguard or whatever is decided to be the best deal at the time. im using donaldson oil filters and ryco fuels at the moment, so fleetguard would be better than i have currently- obviously genuine would be best. ill leave the decision to you as you know whats best. sweet as.
