Will be keen on seeing how the e lockers perform. I'm tossing up between an e locker or air locker just can't decide yet

Yeah I was tossing up a few options of auto rear and selectable front vs selectable all round and then the choice between ARB and Harrop/ Eaton. Its early stages yet, and apart from the prolonged install process, im pretty happy with my setup. I have only used the rear in anger going up a slippery slope but nothing too serious to really test them out as of yet.
Im hearing people are happy with the auto locked rear which I was pretty close to choosing. I got a bit discouraged with the ARB setup after reading multiple problems with oil misting/ weeping from incorrect installs. All in all I still think both products are as good as each other, just depends on budget and setup considerations and whether or not you want the system with the air compressor as another part involved on how the whole operation is able to work.
Yeah mate, its probly one of those mods that I wanted then actually needed but im happy all the same now its done. I look forward to heading out camping in the near future and testing them out once I've offloaded all the camping/ touring weight somewhere.
Cheers,

How has the MCC bulbar held up?? I'm interested in the quality compared to ARB/TJM and whether you are still impressed after it being on the rig for a couple of years.
Hi Gramps,
The bullbar has been fine. Touch wood I have had no problems with it other than adjusting it back to straight after some rather rough driving/ tracks. This was only once mind you and only took a few spanner twirls to tighten right back up. The other thing was my right hand side indicator/ park light got water and dust in, leaving me to replace the light. This was because of the rubber seal around the plastic light cover perishing. Easy fix though as they are direct replacement generic off ebay. When I purchased it it did not come with any guards that go underneath the indicators/ fog lights. We made our own but I wasn't sure if they were forgotten or are a separate option. Anyhow I have no cracks in the welds or anything like that. I touch up any stone chips with some rust agent paint and give it a rub with lanolin every once and a while and it comes up great.
My previous bar was an old ARB non winch steel type. From what I can compare with the two they pretty much are built the same eg steel thickness, generic indicators etc. dare I say they are built overseas as well...... Best bet would be to find a store and have a look as each to their own with how the welds look, mounting options, paint etc etc. My overall opinion of my bar is great.
Well picked up the car yesterday after the clutch install. Feels like a new one again and just in time to test it out with some boat and beach work. It should compliment the low range abilities and the future towing I plan to do. If your looking for great advice and service for anything clutch or brake related around Perth, id be giving Terry from Brakes West a call. Helped me out allot and was the only one who wanted to sort out just the parts for me to take back to Broome. Nick from Auto Excellence here in Broome fitted the clutch and would recommended them to anyone passing through this way for any advice on their Prado. Sounds like a bit of a pump up here but Its finally good to find some guys who know their trade and are also happy help out. Its slim pickings to find quality work these days (based on my previous experiences) and even harder when you live outside the cities.
Cheers,

Thanks Dueler, I just wanted a real world opinion before I went to have a look at one in the flesh. I figured it would go well with the MCC rear bar that's coming soon.
Well after much research and talking over the phone. looks like the Prado will have a new sidekick in the form of a camper trailer from Customline over in Beenleigh QLD. It will be a modded Tracker model and we are very happy with the service, options and feedback on the trailer and company so far. Will look at having this all ready to go after September when I get married, just in time to try it all out over Christmas.
