Took a squiz under the bonnet of the current model t/d Hilux to see why the scoop has been widened over the previous model. It is big up top but the rubber seal is contoured and it looks like the opening above the intercooler is actually smaller than that on the Prado. So I reckon the big scoop is just waiting to be mounted onto a Prado bonnet.

New 2012 Hilux bonnet scoop going to the painters and should be installed soon. I plan to cut just inside the standard rubber seal so nobody will notice. I have the photo's of the current Hilux setup but can't download them at present because I'm using a limited Telstra dongle and not my home broadband as I'm living in tempoary digs for another couple of weeks. Will post up all pics of the finished job.Dave

Mine is the early model Hilux scoop, I believe bushbasher is planning on fitting the one of the latest Lux which is a bit wider!

I soooo want one of these!!! But the lift and additional fuel filter is higher on the list at the moment keen to see what the new lux scoop looks like!2008 120 Series 3lt D4D TD Prado GX, With to many bits to list :-) and more to come!!

This is very tempting when I get the rear bumper repaired as they'll already have the paint colour matched.
Although looking at the pics of AJ's, the wider scoop won't look as factory as you have to hack up the bonnet deadener and source the new rubber couling etc.
