  • Seat Covers - Lets Get Some Feedback

OK before everyone jumps in and tells me there are other posts on this. Can I say I read them all and didn't come out any wiser. I have 3 young kids so am looking for something good looking, fits well (hate those covers that end up loose and all over the shop)
What I'd like to know is what people's feedback is on the below:

    Type: Wetsuit/Canvas/Sheepskin
    Supplier: so far I have
    http://www.black-duck.com.au/
    http://www.msa4x4.com/Products/Cotto...CoversHome.asp
http://www.thewetseat.com/index.html (FOr some reason it says developed by Inland so who do i buy off)
    http://www.supertrim.com.au/
    http://www.inlandaustralia.com.au/
    http://www.tjm.com.au/index.php?nr=n...?i=Seat_Covers
    Colour: Black/Grey etc
    Quality:
    Fit:
    Cost:
    Would you buy them again?

I had MSAs on my 120 and they were fantastic. Could not ask for a better fit. When I bought the 150 got a set of MSA front and the fit is not to flash on the base plus stitching coming undone on rear of seat. I have not talked to MSA about the stitching as yet but the seat bottom I am not happy with.

On your 120 mine did fit really well, no issues but a tight fit to put on as they should be. I would only be concerned if they are having the sewing done somewhere else now?

The ducks are great but beware they will wear your clothes out:-) pretty abrasive.

I bought the SuperCheap dead sheepies when we first bought the 120. These were recommended on here and I picked them up at one or other of their sales at the time. The covers fit well (airbag model) and they are quite comfortable and actually make the seat nicer to sit in. Four years on and the covers still look good with minimal maintenance. Not sure what the brand or model was other than the covers were the hairyest ones.

Have MSA covers on the Rodeo and these were fitted just for protection. The covers are quite harsh and don't fit as neatly as the sheepskin covers in the Prado. Doubt that I would fit canvas covers in the Prado but they are fine for the ute which gets little care. A friend had wetsuit covers in his TerrorTree and these fitted well and were pretty good to sit on.

The escape gear covers are also excellent. I have seen them fitted to a 150 an they fit well.

Neither the MSA or EscapeGear covers are particularly abrasive which is nice.

MSA canvas on my 120. They do fit well, hard wearing , easy to clean but still soft. I would buy them again.

I noticed that SCA have sheepskin covers for $209 in this week's catalogue. Wonder if they are still the same as mjrandom...

OK so I am thinking most of the feedback here is Canvas and I appreciate the advice.

To balance it anyone want to weigh in on the wetsuit material covers.

I have MSA covers on my 120, an there great, great fit, seem good quality, and I like the canvas, seems hard wearing with out being abrasive. I would definitely by them again.
                    Cheers, Damo

Damo how do you find them for comfort.
I am already of the mind that they will be awesome when in and out with sand and mud environments but when not doing that and you are jumping in and out daily and going on trips are they comfy or very industrial like.
The wetsuit ones strike me as more comfortable/stylish but I am taking a guess here. I worked in central Oz on Gas rigs years ago and the canvas ones in the cruisers were good but very industrial/work truck like. Not something you also wanted to get dressed and sit in to go out or on a long drive.

Exactly, there was a "crisp new tent" feel to them when brand new but now its been moulded to my ass its like cotton.

I have had the the SCA sheepies for two years now. I got the top of the line model and have been very happy with them.
2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.
