Well whilst in Bundaberg staying with the outlaws for Easter it was decided to get away from the girls for the day and explore Pine Creek which is 15 minutes south of Bundaberg off the Isis Highway. The Pine Creek state Forestry boasts tracks ranging from Mild to Extreme. So accompanying myself was my BIL Shane and his mate Darren in Shane's 100 series.
We headed down Matts Rd off Pine Creek Road and aired down just after an old black bus parked in a bush property.
Entry point to Matts Rd
Most of the tracks were rutted which kept our speed down to a minimum. In fact our 4 hour trip from start point to finish point took a shade over 4 hrs with only 13.5km covered.
A lot of the tracks are ironstone marbles which punish the tyres and these descents require care.
