Easter high country 2012

Anyone going up to the high country for Easter we are going again this year .

If anyone is interested in coming we will be going up to Talbotville again . Its not hard to get there and makes it easy for my father to get there with his Avan.

Will be doing Billy Goats Bluff up to the Pinnacles.
Blue Rag.
Crooked river 24 odd river crossings
and a number of the spurs around the area.
And easter egg hunt for the Kids


Last year we had a stock ford ranger with us and he done ok on all the tracks
For those who haven't been up to Talboutvile there are two pit toilets we will be taking our own, nice big grass area and right next to the river.

Hi blkd4d,

I'll be up at Talbotville again this Easter with a big group. We have been going there for about the last 4 Easters and have a ball. By then I'll have the new 150GXL and the Navara will be history! We'll have to meet up for a beer.

Mark I should have 4 cars two camper trailers 2 tents one avan with me also unless things change and more if people want to come ,where were you last year you could of been just near me.

Hi blkd4d, we are a big group of about 30-40 including kids, about 8 or so families with various off-road vans, campers, tents, swags. As you come down the main entry track from Dargo, there is another track that goes from left to right, with right across the river almost straight away, and left back through the cleared area and crossing the river further down, we are usually straight across the track, where the river bends around about 90 degrees. I should have my new white 150 by then (fingers crossed), other vehicles include a big Chev dual cab pickup and various Lancruisers and utes. we usually monitor channel 25 on the UHF.

Where are you usually camped? I'll send you a PM closer to easter with arrival day etc and we can catch up.

I am going up on friday, just back from overseas for work, so will have to spend the week in the office as well as trying to get the new rig ready for it's first outing. A few of our group will be going up on Tuesday, so will probably be setting up at the same time as you. I'll have the new white GXL 150 with the Sahara bar and MT Baja ATZ.

Hi Phil don't know when marks group is leaving but I would of left before you get down there . Shame you can't come earlier have some young kids with us and you could of camped with us .

Yeah unfortunately can't get away till next week due to work commitments Sounds like there will be people Around anyway. Maybe next time eh ???
Must admit I'm a bit excited, can't wait!
Hope There's not too much rain between now and then, I've only got AT's. I think the winch will be getting a workout
