ARB Recovery Points

Just noticed ARB have a press release about their new range of industry first rated recovery points. Whilst they do not appear to have released them for the Prado (as yet), there are some pics found on their website of the point for a Hilux.

I posted this the other day. The hilux ones look great.

I spoke to ARB and apparently some prado ones are on the way, should be out first quarter 2012.

As a result I still haven't fitted the outback ideas points.

I spoke to the ARB guys about this the other day. They said these are being developed as a result of pressure being received from the Mining industry and OH&S Safety concerns. Apparently the OH&S regulation is pushing for the need to have RATED recovery points with a rating certificate. I was also told not to expect points to be made for vehicles that are not common in the mining industry.

They are almost here for the Prado 120... I was talking to them when they were going though development late last year.
Also a new set of 120 Under Vehicle Protection kits will be out soon as well.

Hi gumboot, ARB Penrith in Sydney had the under protection kits hanging on the wall late December and they tried to sell me a set when i was getting the rhino rack fitted.

The 150 bash plates look great. ARB are really stepping up to the plate.

I asked about recovery points for 120 when I did ARB factory tour in Kilsyth and they said definitely early 2012.
According to a designer who spoke at the time, They are trying to get a standard initiated for these recovery points as well.

I believe they tried to sell you the 150 series not the 120 series.
I just rang them and they have 150 series in store but the 120 series are not released yet by ARB.

Gidday Gumboot, ARB Penrith must be confused as they were fitting the rhino rack to my 120 series while at the a same time they were showing me and trying to sell me the under body protection that was hanging on the wall.

I would imagine ARB would try pretty hard to make them only compatible with their own bar, I know I would if I was them.
