  • Qld Trip - Ormeau 4th Dec

The SouthEast Qld Crew had a great outing in the hills around Ormeau today.
In attendance was LFaR, Richoson, Stewy, Fozzy, D4D-GXL, Snaga & Brains.
All in all, was a bit of fun for our last adventure of the year.

We've had so fun in 2011, with the highlight being GetToGether.

    I just can't wait till 2012.

Here's some pics from the day. I'm sure there will more to follow.

My Favourite Pic from the Day,.....here's Fozzy (tripod)

    D4D-GXL, picking his line.

Great shots Stewy, we need to put our thinking caps on for a January trip, anybody got any suggestions maybe a weekend based somewhere with trips out from the campsite, a fire and some BS on Saturday night

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

PS: Have a Safe and Merry XMas.

            Pic Cont.

We met at the water tower before heading in.

It was a little rocky as we started off.
The local trail bike riders gave up negotiating the rocks on the climb and walked it.
We all just took it steady and waved as we went passed them.

The climbs were steady and there was usually 3 options at each turn.

As LFaR said over the UHF, "take either route"

            1. the right one is easy
            2. left of that is moderate
            3. furtherest left is - go your hardest - this is what ya here for !!

Looks like you guys had an absolute ball once again. Tracks looked quite dry compared with the youtube footage from past trips. No winching or MaxTrax required by the look of it. Great report Stewy - rub it in that I couldn't make it why don't you. Oh well, there's always next year. Didn't see any photos of the troops in their camo gear practising their assault formations for the mission on the unsuspecting SA mob - or were they so very well camouflaged that I missed them? If so, great, they'll never know what hit 'em.

I'm working on a vid now... I'll have to finish it tomorrow as home is calling
It's almost finished but there's couple of things I want to add to it... like Richo testing out his traction control
                  Cheers, Leon

                      Ok some of our shots

The KTM that couldn't get up the first hill with a Prado going past

Stewy and Snaga bringing up the rear Snaga with the winch that didn't get used

Looking back to the Gold Coast maybe a shot for next year

Thats the Gold Coast in the distance pity it was overcast

                      More next post

The gully from the distance where Fozzy did his tripod impression

There were a shedload of bikes there as well

There was one easy looking jump up that had everybody trying not to get hooekd up

Everybody had a great time all be it very dusty we need some rain to get some winch practise in with the plethora of winches in the SEQ coming up.

Have a Safe and Happy Xmas on the tracks, Richo.

                            Nice pics Richo.

Absolutely luv this one, goes to show how rocky it was on that hill climb.
And to think LFaR did it with no sump or front underbody protection.

                            cheers
