    NSW: Saturday December 3rd Zig Zag Railway & Newnes SF Area

    We're headed back to the our favorite narrow gauge train set for some fun. The plan is to visit some of our favorite easy tracks with some optional medium grade action (chicken tracks available).

    I haven't got a complete itinerary but at the moment this what I had planned. After letting down tyres at Zig Zag, we make a quick stop at the lower wombat holes, then show our novice Patrol drivers the diff breaker wombat holes. After that we could follow one of the power lines tracks to Bungleboori and depending on the time, stop for lunch at Bungleboori or check out the Lost City and then have lunch. After that we could go visit the Carne Creek gorge and Birds Rock. I'm open to other ideas though.

    Finishing time is flexible; if you want to leave early it won't be a problem (but you may need to navigate your own way out). We usually finish around 4 or 5pm.

    Bring: Prado, morning tea, lunch, water/drinks, camera, air compressor/recovery gear if you have it, sense of adventure.

    Would love to but would be pushing my luck getting two day passes in one month. I will work on it though and let you know.

      I'll be there, with new TJM bar and ARB lift fitted or at least its all booked to be done next week, so hopefully......

        Nice one Dave. The lift will certainly help to keep the belly of the beast out of harm's way.

        The weather is shaping up to be pretty good for Saturday but after the predicted thunder storms earlier in the week, I expect there will be plenty of mud.

          I'm getting my 2" lift put in tomorrow, so put me down as a tentative attendee for this Saturday (after negotiating with SWMBO).

          I'm looking forward to testing it out and not belly scraping. No diff breaking though as I still have standard diffs!

                    I'll have to take a rain check folks. Heading to Canberra for the weekend.
